Slowly but surely

Well, my poor iMac needed a new hard drive.

Not a fun process.

I am still in the middle of rebuilding my computer exactly how I like it. I didn’t have everything backed up like I should have, so things like my personal work flow actions in Photoshop are gone. Big heavy sigh. (All photos and other irreplaceable items are safe.)

I am slowly but surely getting everything back to normal, and will hopefully be able to be back in business here very soon.

Anyone who has emailed me in the last two weeks, I will be responding as soon as I can.

  1. Been there, almost exactly one year ago…is yours a 2008 imac as well? Not fun at all. My girl sat neglected for almost 6 months before I could get her fixed. Apple says I didn’t have the extended warranty – I beg to differ, yet I can’t get at the email account they sent the confirmation to and I don’t have the hard copy anymore since I moved. Ya, sooo not fun. I just wish I had had the money to put more ram in it at the same time…Betsy needs some more juice and the closet shop to work on her is an hour and a half away. She’s better now though so that’s what counts, could have been a lot worse. Hope yours is back to your normal soon!!

  2. Oddly enough Tara, my less than a year old iMac is in the shop for the same thing!

making me a bit concerned about it’s reliablity for sure.

I feel your pain girl. Thank goodness I backed up…but mine got so bad I couldn’t even get it to boot up at all.
