“We are our faces. That’s all there is, light on faces.” Garry Winogrand
There is a little camera that I keep by my front door. I grab it randomly, and only when the mood strikes. Sometimes I forget about it for weeks. Sometimes I think of it everyday.
This is the film from my personal point and shoot, taken December 2015 and January 2016. Portra and Ektar. Scanned by Pro Photo Connection, Irvine.

You have a beautiful life with a beautiful family. I knew you would, and I’m so happy for you.
Midwest gal pal. Nice.
Anna has changed so much! Such lovely photos and glimpses. Love it all over the place
Some of my favorites. Third one down – so damn good
These make me want to bring my film camera with me more often. Such treasures!
Love these. So, so light.
Oh, Tara. So much heart there. What a beautiful family. And how cool to see photos of Casper’s with lush green grass – it was so dry (but still lovely) when we were there in July.
it’s so crazy to follow someone for so long & watch their children grow up into rad little people. love the blurry photo of the glasses faces <3
Beautiful photos! The picture of the driftwood on the sand is speaking to me.
love these! so raw and real.. your kids are getting so big :)
What point and shoot is this Tara? I am looking to get one..
thanks
Hi Linda, it’s an old Nikon One Touch film camera. You can probably find one on ebay.
From someone who has followed you since your scrapbooking days, but has continued because of your beautiful photos and your honest writing, I loved seeing a glimpse of photo that I have seen so many times of your four little ones. How is it possible that they were once so little? It can’t be because we are so old!
