we pretty much let the kids dress themselves-with some help here and there. i like seeing what they come up with. i think its whimsical, and how long can you get away with a number like this?
one of anna’s recent concoctions.

duhhhh…polka dots go with polka dots…I can’t believe you didn’t know that ::eyeroll:: ;)
LOVE IT!!! I’ve got a huge thing for polka dots, in any combo. Someone’s been shopping at Boden, lol! I’ve got that on my to-do list myself for school clothes.
I say the girl’s got good taste. Yellow and green go together. And, well, polka dots and more polka dots are perfectly splended. Some red polka dot shoes and she’d be set!!
Hey, just out of curiosity…did you get an email from me the other day about a diabetes walk. I sent out a mass email that I don’t think alot of people got because it went to spam filter! If you can let me know, that would be great…I need to resend it big time if if didn’t get through. Thanks girl.
I’ve long allowed mine to dress themselves. Once, at church, a lady looked down at my daughter’s colorful shoes, which did NOT in any way match her outfit, smiled and said, “Don’t worry, she’ll grow out of that.”
I replied, “I sure hope not!” I never want her to feel like she MUST conform to fit in. I’d rather she be herself, colorful shoes and all!
love it.
i love the polkie dots too! yummy colors too!
is there some way you could bottle up your talent and send it to georgia?? there’s really not an adjective out there to describe you so we’ll just be calling you **TARA-LICIOUS** ’round here.
thanks for inspir’n us’ns all ’round the world.
I agree, we are sooooo lucky to be inspired by a little
Tara-Liciousness everyday!!!!
I’m sure missing my little girl this morning! College starts tODaY!!! :>(
so so sweet!
ava did 2 camo with stripes 2 days ago, and i just let it go. gosh i have had clothes over pajama tops, you name it. and those are the greatest photos to look back on!!!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
tara
Aaww, I think it’s an adorable combo on her. hehe
And as soon as I get rid of all cheesy character shirts, I will let mine dress themselves.
Just love this – she’d be cute in anything! I’ll have to start letting my little one dress herself when she’s old enough…I can only imagine the combos that will come out of that closet!! :)
cute!!! you must share where said polka dots were purchased. :)
Too cute!
LOL! TOTALLY reminds me of my kids. You don’t know HOW many times I see “christmas color combos” and mixed patterns in the mornings. I say, start creative thinking young!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Before I had kids I used to see parents with their little ones and just think “WHAT THE @*#! – don’t they care how their kids look????” Now I have 2 daughters and I love the getting dressed thing. Seriously – we do stripes with stripes pretty much daily, and many, many combinations of floral with floral. Maybe we need more polka-dots . . .
that is actually very cute. i like polka dots. my house is starting to suffer from the same malady as anna’s clothes. i try to let ellie dress herself, but some days i just can’t handle it.
oh I love it… and that you let her do it too…then to capture it!
dots & dots are a don’t? dagnabbit, now i gotta rethink MY outfit for work tomorrow!
I love the polka dots! It looks so fun! Lemon meets Lime kind of theme! At least the skirt still goes to the knee. Wait until she is older and it may start getting shorter and shorter! Love the pic. Tara!
Love the Polka dots. My twin girls are 3 and come out with some crazy outfits. As long as we are not going out, all is game except pants in 100 degree letter. Love the color combo too, LOL. very summery.
I am one of your biggest fans. I check your blog everyday, I am recently started to really presue photography. And I feel so renewed and inspired. I have four kids and my husband is getting ready for a year long deployment. I was hoping to ask for some insight and advice on my journey of learning and refining my photography. Thank you for sharing your inspiring talent with us. Thankyou so much. I hope to corresponde with you soon. Thankyou for taking the time to read my Comment/request!!

I bought that skirt/skort in the sale for my baby girl for next summer, she’ll be 18 months!
