on one of the presidential birthdays (and no school days) i met up with sharla, erin, carole, and stacey at a park in between where we live. (those not pictured: christine, sheridan, celestial-the only one without a blog)
there were 16 kids between us. (if everyone would have been there, there would have been 23 1/2-celestial is pregnant) 16 kids, between the ages of 16(17?) to 1. five mommies. one dog. lots of mcdonalds. treats. mckenna in the mens bathroom moments. lots of laughs. lots of pictures. lots of fun.
it makes me miss the old days-the old days when most of us had toddlers and nothing else on our plates. when we would stay on the phone all day or scrapbook all day while the babies watched movies and crawled on us. taking turns nursing on the couch. when there was no school, no routine, no extracurricular activities to keep us away from each other. and it makes me excited for the day when we are all old biddies. and we have time for each other once again.
gotta love those sunny park days! It’s its warming up slowly but surely out here in Seattle.
awww…great shots here Tara. So cool.
great pictures Tara…and I feel the same way about my friends…it is so hard to get together now…
love the park pictures- looks like a park near us- can’t wait till the weather is nice and we are able to get out and enjoy it.
thats right baby THE GOLDEN GIRLS. except we need to all still have husbands.
i love the pictures and wonder why my kid can’t keep a straight face.
what u wrote is so sweet. i miss days like that too.
Oh Tara, I hear you about kids being little. My friends and I now laugh that we thought babies were a lot of work. One of my daughters is in preschool & gymnastics and I already feel like we are running too much.
But one good thing about MN though….snow days!!! Horray, today we are snowed in and spending a relaxing day in our jammies!
great pics…
i love moments like these
trying to live in the moment always with my kids
bc they will only be this way once

We MUST do this again. This time I promise to make it. Maybe every month in the summer? So sorry I no make it.
I always thought things would get easier when the kids got in school. I was SO wrong!
How cool. I’m glad you were able to get together with old friends.
Wow…that says it all Tara! I am Sharlas friend and love your picture of Natalie. Gorgeous. I so fondly remember my frequent park days with my friends when the kids were little…bliss!! I’m not sure I realized it then, but that’s what it was… BLISS!! Thanks for sharing.
Peggy Sue :)
Tara, you are so good. It’s like getting a quick recharge; going through your blog. Those pics in the sunshine really made me smile. I need ot get out and do something with the babies this weekend! (maybe my teen will pencil me in!)
We had sooo much fun that day!
Love all the pictures…can’t believe 23 1/2 kids, man we are baby makin machines! Okay, well you guys are. I just have the babysitters now Ü
P.s. Tucker says hi to Drew & Nate Ü
i still say the last one of tristan…he looks like a simpsons character. rofl.
Aaaaww. So sweet. I was just thinking last night when my kids are old how I’ll be an old biddy and have peace and quiet to scrapbook. :-( And then it really hits me – how DEPRESSING it is that time travels so, so fast!! Glad you had a chance to take time to “chill” and enjoy. Peace.
That day was so perfect! Really, Everett’s pants aren’t THAT short. LOL! Love that Simpsons picture of Tristan. So, if we all went camping, we would have 24 kids running around! Agh!
