we met in laguna last night…perfect, gorgeous evening at the beach.
it is definitely christmas card photo season though…we had to fight for certain spots.
we had fun together and they were a great couple to photograph-very fun and playful-i didnt want to stop shooting them.
i havent gone through them all to proof, but today while i should have been doing laundry, i took a sneak peek-and these four stood out to me as favorites. so here they are.
and then it rained.
the air felt heavier tonight. it smelled like it was about to rain. it felt like it was about to rain. the clouds were thick and the sky was orange. it was one of those things that makes you stop and watch. i waited impatiently, because i love the rain. keeping an eye on my patio, watching for tiny rainspots to mark the cement.
the smell of the rain is one of my favorite things ever. the sound of the rain is one of my favorite sounds ever. water brings me peace.

This is my friend Sharla, and her family. The kids were, um, shall we say less than cooperative? :) They were in total "we are going to play at the beach mode". And when we finished and I came home I was so worried I hadn’t gotten anything worthy of enlarging. Worried for Sharla’s sake. But I was happily surprised and found that although in most shots the kids aren’t looking at the camera, these pictures really captured what her family is right now. Hectic and fun with three adorable but slightly crazy kids. :) And that is what I strive to do. Love you Shar.
