a shoot for some friends

i love this family. goerge has worked with jeff for years now. when we all hang out we have so much fun. they are a really cool couple and the kids are so sweet and easily mesh with our kids.

i have wanted to get my camera on them for, literally, YEARS. i knew these gorgeous little greek children would photograph amazingly with their dark brown eyes and precious faces. catchlights in brown eyes are one of my favorite things. i could just stare into them forever.

so i finally got them down here and to the beach on friday. i love the colors they chose, and the embroidered shirt on grace.

here are the gorgeous kiddos:

i love newborns

this is bryson gideon, son to my friend sheridan. we had been trying to schedule this shoot for almost four weeks (since he was born) and something always came up.

well on this day, what came up was the weather. rainy. overcast. dark. and i knew the lighting conditions in sheridans house were less than ideal for a photo shoot. especially on a dark day.

so i called and broke the news.

she called me back in tears begging me to come over and try. how could i resist a hormonal mommy AND a good friend?

i went. and i am SO glad i did. the lighting on her bed was perfect.

feast your eyes on the cuteness of her boys by clicking here.

the boys and baby foot shot was totally inspired by margie. when anna was born, she showed me an entirely magical photo she had taken of her two older girls and baby eliza. feet only on a flowery quilt. so i took one of my own. and it is still a favorite thing to do. thanks miss margie.

*i had to cancel my shoot today because i am too sick. i didnt start feeling better. so i am taking advantage of the home time and getting some computer stuff worked on.
