some of you may remember alexis and bowie from pictures in august. alexis is an old friend who still does my hair even though she works in encino and it takes an hour or more to get to her. she rocks man.
we have been meaning to do this for years, but its hard to make it work. they made the trip down last sunday and i got to spend some time with them. they are such a gorgeous family, and bowie was having so much fun in front of the camera.

this is the first issue with me as an editor! my photo of my friend kristina and her daughter halle on the cover. (beth proudfoot did the layout) and my layouts in the table of contents. and in the chapter openers!!! they chose me as featured designer, so i even have a little "spotlight" on me too.

i am just so happy because i just love working for simple scrapbooks. the people are so incredible, so inspiring, so nice. i love what the magazine stands for and how it looks. and i feel soooo honored to be a part of it.
