A FAMILY SESSION – WAKING UP WITH MIMI & HER DINOSAURS

When I arrived, Mom was fresh out of the shower and Mimi was still asleep. I was excited to shoot my favorite thing – a family moving about their normal routine. Their Saturday morning went a little something like this: Mimi woke up, checked me out and discovered I was okay, changed into her favorite pajamas, made breakfast, played with her dinosaurs, water colored, got dressed, and cut coupons … all in her quiet, assured little way. Then we headed out to feed the ducks, but when we couldn’t find any, Mimi ate the bread instead.

She called me Miss “Tawa”, and I taught her how to carry around her favorite dinosaur in the front pocket of her overalls.

A MATERNITY SESSION – EXPECTING TWINS & SATISFYING FOOD TRUCK CRAVINGS

The babies were due in just two weeks. This sweet Momma was uncomfortable and moving slowly, her body at full capacity. Brought me right back to those days at the end where you just want to button your jeans over a very flat stomach.

The gorgeous, round, ripe belly she was carrying around was really fun to photograph, and I also loved being present during their after school shower-the-toddler routine. I hope I gave her a little bit of reprieve as we took photos, even just by getting her mind off things for awhile.

And encouraging her to buy donuts.
