Sunday evening, I took the trash out.
I looked up, over our fence, and saw this tree in our front yard.
Dripping with light.
It made my heart beat faster.
I wish the sun gave us this light all day long.
Instead of the 20 or 30 measly minutes we get at the end of the day.
But maybe that is why it is so magical for me.
This is when I always want to be outside.
This is what spring looks like here.

Beautiful shots. Beautiful light. Those of us that live in New England get light like that in the fall during the afternoons. I know a lot of people who hate it, but I love it. It’s perfect for photographs.
Beautiful, I can almost smell them, love spring!!
Lovely! Thanks for the tech notes!
Ha! I love these! I have about a dozen similar shots in my camera right now, as my ride home from work is filled with similar awe over the light and those branchy, blossomy, amazingly springy trees.
beautiful!
So many people avoid shooting the plain blue sky; I love that you do it!!
I’m jealous of your spring.
beautiful light………these would look so cool next to the pics of the trees you posted on a rainy day you had there…..very cool contrast ;)
i just did this while waiting for clients to show up to a session. mine are pink. i love spring!
I can’t decide which I love more…your family photo shots or your nature photography :)
mmmmm. yum.

i, too, wish for more of the beautiful evening spring/fall light. but as you said, if we had it all the time it wouldn’t be so coveted.
Thank you for posting your settings and lens used. I love that!

Made me feel happy and warm like it was spring here too. Such awesome art Tara!
Great photos! I used to live near a bunch of orchards and would go take photos of the blossoms each year. Kinda magical!
I love these shots, too. And thanks for posting the lens and shooting info. That is so helpful to those of us learning!! Love your work!
absolute magic!
Great shots! Loving the tech info! Thanks!
gorgeous!
magical is right. I get that same feeling in the summertime at sunset when the kids are running through the sprinkler & the water is all lit up & the kids are squealing.
