Nikon One Touch // Expired Kodak 400
‘Oh Sailor’ by Mr. Little Jeans came on KCRW as I pulled into the driveway this morning and I sat there and listened and watched the shadows move on my pajama pants. I liked the sound but then when I heard the lyrics I really fell in love. It just made me think of them and us and the places we go and….life. How fast it is changing, and how they are going to be sailing away in their own boats very, very soon.
When you feel like you’re out there on your own / Know there is someone watching over you … / I hope you know that you can sail right on / I hope you know you’ve got the ocean blue
I almost always latch onto songs that feel like summer this time of year. Ever since high school I have pulled out Steve Miller Band along with the sunscreen. I always seem to add one or two anthems that get overplayed and I have a feeling this is going to be one of those.
swoon adore! as usual! oh please let me know when you will have a mentoring class for this mommy. I just have to ask about every two months. xo
Yes! I am the same way. Songs that I associate with summer make me feel good. I wonder why that is.
You always pick the best damn music.
Is it unbelievable to watch your son turn into a man? Wowza!
oh kids are getting so big!
I didn’t even realize those were your kids at first–they’re so grown up! Love that song, btw. (And I recognize my little beach town. Yay!)
yay for film! love the super soft silhouette under the pier. just got my one touch in the mail this week – happy day :) love that our kids have the ocean blue, sometimes when I wonder if Im giving them enough all it takes is a stop at the beach and I know how full their souls are
simply the best. the shore, the children, the energy.
and the song – embarrassingly obsessed now too.
simply divine.
Mmmm mmm mmm I just wanna eat up that film’s filminess. Perfect for the beach. Love how it handles such a bright day! And thanks for getting me stuck on a new song, I couldn’t get Fitz & The Tantrums out of my head for days. :)
