stacy & ruth ann are completely in love

Their love was palpable and right out there for the taking. I was honored to be trusted with it. I am so happy for them.

We went strawberry picking, because they are passionate about good food and healthy living. I thought it would be a good match for them. (And it was.) The light was so beautiful we had to go to the beach, too.

  1. I love all the pictures (I have never seen a “Tara Whitney” that I didn’t love). That said the pictures featuring their hands were incredible. I love the intertwining of their fingers – such a metaphor for life. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Did you absolutely love this session? The images say you did! Really, really beautiful work Tara. I smiled through the whole set. I bet Stacy & Ruth Ann are overjoyed with their images!

  3. these are seriously amazing! I love them! Do you have any posts talking about how you direct your sessions? There seems to be such ease .. I bet you are amazing to watch work.

  4. I agree with what Shanna said, I would LOVE to hear the kinds of things you say to your models and any suggestions you have to aspiring photographers.

Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your beautiful breath taking art.

  5. As always, you’ve done it again, Tara. Gorgeous and stunning… So many cool elements to work with (love the crates on the back of the truck). And you captured so many emotions – playful, tender…just love this session! Their love is truly shown in a way that makes one baffled as to why all couples cannot have such freedom.

  6. I hope you read this. I hardly ever comment on your blog. These pictures made me teary eyed! I’m not a lesbian, in fact I’m Mormon and we’re taught about the sin of homosexuality and I always struggle with fully adopting that doctrine because love is LOVE no matter who it is.

These pictures are soooooo loving! I think one factor is these women’s faces are so full of expression! I believe that the expressions on their faces are what they feel. And obviously they feel love.

    Really, truly, wonderful job, Tara.
