the reason that I have taylor swift on my ipod

Anna sings 1 from tara Whitney on Vimeo.

Just in case anyone should give me a hard time about it. (AHEM RACHEL) (And not to make her fans feel bad, I am so not a snobby music person, but its just that Country Pop is not my favorite musical genre.) Miss Swift is on my ipod simply because of how her (pointing up to Anna) little voice turns up in the high parts. When she comes on in the car and I hear Anna’s voice pick up in the backseat, I slowly turn down the radio just so I can hear her better.

The other night we bribed her into doing this.

Gives me butterflies every time.

(It’s the plaintive “small town!” that does me in every time!)

  1. oh soooooooooooo cute! ellie does the same thing when her other song comes on the radio (don’t know the name of it). “she wears short skirts, i wear tee shirts, she’s cheer captain and i’m on the bleachers”, kills me every time. wish we could get them together for a playdate.

  2. I love it!! So, so, so cute. My daughter Kyra (who is 6) has asked to watch it again and now wants to make her own clip of her fav song. We love the missing teeth, adds to the cute performance

  3. Love it! Absolutely adorable. Love her voice and love the pride BEAMING from your face. Love. My daughter and I have jammed out to Love Story in the car more times than I can count on the way to and from school. So fun.

  4. OMG…she is adorable! Did she say “I like you” at the end of the first clip? It made my heart do a little flip-flop…my youngest sons ALWAYS say that to me…it’s like their own version of “I love you”…”Momma…I like you.” Makes my heart happy…

  5. Anna can serenade me anytime. . . how adorable.. . . but Tara, the look on your face, your ear to ear smile, is undescribable, a Momma’s love is powerful, sweet and absolutely delicious!

  6. Her teeth! I didn’t know she lost her two front teeth! She looks beautiful and oh so ready for first grade.

She looks like you, your mom, and your two sisters all mixed together. What a beauty.

  7. well, hey! i am a lifelong nashvillian, so i bet if you wanted to fly out here and photograph my family i could hook sweet anna up with some taylor time!!

(not that i know her or anything…but it’s not THAT big of a town… ;) love love love the videos – so sweet!!

  8. Tara, little Ms.Anna has always reminded me of my youngest, Peyton. She’s 7. She too belts out songs and my heart just melts away. I LOVE when she sings “the crow and the butterfly” by shinedown…it just kills me. Thanks for sharing your little sweetheart!
