the kids have all cried at one time or another since picking them up.
forty minutes ago.
sigh………
i took them to mcd’s to get mcflurrys-fridays are shake days-i pick them up and we all go get a shake. usually just from jack in the box, but today i was like-LETS GET MCFLURRYS! and they were all so excited. (for about five seconds.)
we get there-mind you, the bad moods were already in full swing-and the ice cream machine is broken.
this did not fare well for the state of affairs in the toyota sequoia.
EVERYONE IN THE CAR STARTED WAILING-it was like the annie movie scene where they all start crying to get miss hannigans attention so that annie can sneak off with sandy-or sneak sandy in-one of those.
i about blew a gasket.
the moods have just gotten worse.
methinks momma deserves a McMargarita tonight! (in case you cant read comments-valerie posted the funniest thing ever and i had to edit my post. thanks for the great line valerie.)
sounds like Momma needs a McMargarita tonight!
Kids in bed…Mama gets a Margarita.
Amen, Sister…AMEN!
i can’t read the comments.
it keeps saying “undefined”
what’s going on?
i love reading comments!!
The wailing and gnashing of teeth!! I like to turn the radio up REAL LOUD when these things occur.
I just finished a McMojito – and it was goooooooooooooood!
oh how i dread the mooday days too tara….it is kinda weird…i cna’t read comments either? what is up with that?
OMG – that’s hilarious Tara. So with ya there this afternoon! The twins had their first birthday party seperate from their little bro (their bdays are 3 days apart). Little Evan was NOT having it with no presents. If I wasn’t prego I would be gettin a mcmargarita too!
So jelly beans by the way over your trip hanging with jefra and nichole van! looked like soooooo much fun!
Oh Tara.. you poor thing.
I can suggest a few remedies… do whatmy mother did.. drive somewhere that looks a long way from anywhere.. all get out.. get in lock doors and wind window down far enough to tell them it is either peace or they stay there A L O N E. (not recommended)
b) scream back…. shock value rocks
c) get drunk and put them on speaker phone to their dad.
Funny, I was doing a shoot on Memorial Day with a set of unhappy 4yo twins so I suggested going to my favorite bakery for a “cookie as big as your head” and that perked them up. Dumba$$ me thought it was still Sunday not Monday, so when we got there it was CLOSED. Session went downhill from there. :(
I feel your pain (everytime I look at those images)!
Friday’s after school are brutal!! Hopefully everyone has calmed down by now.. and yes.. I do think some alcohol is in order for you. ;)
Hey girl sorry that you are not having such a good day. Hope your weekend is full of happy stuff.
So wish I could come to the Retreat thing with you and Em. Sigh… I can only dream. xoxo
WOW… We watched Annie this morning. How bizarre.
Get it right, it’s McRita :)
I only have one, so I have a quarter of the trouble you do. But she is 2. She kind of did the same thing. “eat eat eat” is all I heard in the car, and when we got there, everything was wrong. Did not touch has mac’n’cheese, threw a tantrum so loud I had to walk out of the store because she was disturbing others. Almost blew the eardrums from a guy when we were in the hallway with closed doors right by the exit.
For a moment, i stood outside the car, before getting in, while she was already in her car seat. I could see her mouth open crying, but the sound was muted. I took about 10 seconds before I got back in. I so didn’t want to.
Hahahaha – glad to know my kids aren’t the only ones that do that. (everyone wailing at the same time)
I’ve learnt to laugh when they do it now :) (sometimes it’s laugh or cry :)
Rach
AAAAHHHH Man! That bites! Um.. the Annie scene reference is hilarious and I can picture the whole scene in the Toyota Sequoia! LOL love you!
For those you can’t read the posts…you won’t see the posts on the front page, click on the actual post headline and then you see the post with the comments, on a seperate page all to it’s self….uh, hope that makes sense, it works for me!
I am a grnadma to a 4 year old, it is all fun for us, we don’t have him long enough for tantrum time, it is fill him up with sugar and send him home…wheeeee!!!
whew… i know what you’re talking about!
Yeah, I hate when that happens. I think we all need McRitas!
oh man!

crabby faces LOL>>>>>>>>
