“mom, can we please please please just play for a (pinching fingers together and squinching up her face) little bit at midnight? please?”it is a sentence i have heard many times before, the whole pleading begging thing, and i was kind of zoning out on it, until she surprised me with the midnight thing. that kind of threw me off.we have had five days of little girlie love prancing about our house. little vignettes of pretend-ness in every corner, under every table, and all over the backyard.my fifth child will be going home late tonight, with her mumma, dad, and my sixth child. and we will all miss her. they have been very, very good, and havent played at midnight even once.

What is it about little girls this age and being naked to their panties…hair all astray? That’s EXACTLY how my youngest parades around 99 percent of the time at home, plus the ever present pair of plastic/sparkly dress up Princess shoes! My hubby worries she’s gonna grow up to be an exotic dancer, lol.
great shots…my daughter (5) has been all about wanting to stay up until midnight lately, too…..must have been on Hannah Montana or something;)
I love that top photo so much.
Yeah! Anna was so happy having Ivy there! :-)
girls. seem so entertaining at times…but so scary at times too…beautiful shots. awesome that you have those.

You just made those little girlies some blissful lifetime memories :)
I love it!! We count things by the number of sleeps too!! So sweet, the current count down is Grandma comes in ONE MORE SLEEP (it started at 16…it’s been a long count down).
love how they call it “five sleeps”. They are such cute friends. Makes it even harder to let Ivy go home when they have been so good I bet. Ivy looks so grown up!
So sweet. I love the first picture of them peeking over the back of the chair. So cute.
so seriously your walls are the exact color I want my walls. I have the same color couch, have been dreaming of that color for the walls. can you tell me what the color is?
this kind of stuff makes you wish for twins!
they are so cUTE together!
so glad she got to have ivy for 5 days!

Tara … I have three lil’ girls … twins that are four and big sis who’s five … I needed this reminder of how lucky I am to have these three. The photo of the two half-naked children twirling abput … being silly just makes me feel SO normal. Dare me to post photos of mine. I’ve got a shot of our twins about to launch off of our couch in nothing but towels and undies (I think … )
SO SO SO fun lil’ girls. Love that those two are such pals.
meghan-the pain color is smokey taupe from benjamin moore.
