this morning as we were all piling into my car to get to school, drew and mckenna were racing to get to the front seat.
drew got there first, opened the front door, started to get in, and then tricked mckenna and climbed into the backseat, letting her get the front.
as she saw drew getting into the front, she said “awwww drew, you suck!”
she has never said that before. mom, arent you proud?! im carrying on the “suck” tradition! along with all the burping!
teehee
Buahahahahha !! I love it!!
:-)
that’s hilarious! My mom would be the same — what was with that generation and their sensitivity to the word “suck”?? For whatever reason it ranked higher up on the list that the other four-letter “s” word!!!
that is too funny! I love that he tricked her.
My mom used to complain about it all the time… and then she started saying it. hahahahah!
I am laughing my head off over here, cause i can just picture that so well LOL>>>>>>>ha. go mckenna! and drew aren’t you sweet letting her have the front anyway?!
tara
that is pretty darn precious if you ask me. so there’s a little ‘suck’ here and there, no big thang.
THAT IS SO FUNNY!
Oh Praise the Lord. I thought my children were the only ones who said that! :)
I give up…..
I can just hear Mckenna saying that! and I have to smile….And Yes…even your Mother/Mimi say’s it now and again. You all rub off on me over time.
BUT the burping Drew, I can’t even blame on you because your mother has influenced you otherwise, to my dismay. Even encouraging burping contest’s to which I am sure your Mom wins! Your otherwise very cool about most things Mimi will always give the evil eye to those burping in my vicinity. ( And still love you in the process…..)
Thanks for the eye roll daughter….And Drew I may not love your burps but there is so much more to you than most know. That you have your Moms soul in you. An old soul that is perceptive to your surroundings. People in need, you are there to help.Something so simple as letting your sister have the front seat only scrapes the surface. And If I’m not wrong, I like that you get that I get you, even without words…..
Tara, I think I love your kids a little more every day! I don’t know what it is, but they’re just so endearing!
My youngest daughter, Ireland, has a special spot next to our TV that she runs to when she has to fart. She’ll run over there and say, “I have to do sumfing!” Why are bodily functions so amusing?
Go Drew!
My mum ‘strongly dislikes’ SUCKS. (she also doesn’t let us say HATE..LOL.
However…. my 4 year (knows but doesnt use the F word.. how? he said Grandma said it.. muhahaha.. couldn’t wait to phone and enlighten her. Last night he also told us all about beer (not from us? -who has beer? the answer: Grandma.. haha Another phone call of enlightenment.. Love getting one over her :)
I am with your MOM tho… no burping thanks.
I love it. I love this post for so many reasons, but mostly ’cause Drew let her have the front…your kids are freaking awes. And I say ALL the words my mom hates.
oh my, that’s so sweet of Drew! and how Mckenna responded!
My husband still lifts his eyebrow at me when I use the word “suck” too. I just don’t get it, LOL!
I love that he tricked her so adorable….I will say this, just in your stories and photos, you can just FEEL the love your kids have for each other, its amazing! and burping is good…ha.
