pink glitter and stuffed Chihuahua’s

my mom and sisters took anna to club libby lu’s, a place of inexplicable joy to any little girl between the ages of 2 and oh, id say 11? for her birthday.

she got her hair did. and her make up and nails.
and then we got inexplicable joy watching her flit and flutter around. she ran out of that place like tinker-bell on crack, and everyone she passed couldnt help but smile at her.

  1. Oh my gosh – I’m a major lurker and don’t think I’ve ever commented (although I truly think I love you in a non-stalkerish kind of way) but I had to say

SHE IS UNBELIEVABLY CUTE!!!!! “Tinkerbell on crack” – just priceless.

    Have a happy, happy day

  2. I have to laugh be/c I was just visiting Disneyland (from very cold Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and pondered having my almost 6 year old daughter all done up at Club Libby Lu…but I was too cheap! I knew it would be expensive, but wasn’t prepared to spend quite that much…and luckily she didn’t discover what she could have done there! I’m glad you shared and I especially love your description of her acting like “Tinkerbell on crack” be/c I can just picture it! She is so freakin’ cute! Thanks for that, maybe next time I will shell out the money!

  3. Tinkerbell on crack. That has to be the single best line you’ve ever written on this blog.

I love the smile on her face in the last picture. She looks like she had the best birthday ever. Wouldn’t it be nice if, even when we were in our 30’s, we could go to a place like that, get ourselves gussied up and walk around so happy afterward? Yeah, it would. :)

  4. cute. my little one loves libby lu. i too would love to know about the shoes. they are too cute. i’m glad she had a good time. aren’t little girls so much fun.

  5. What fun!! I can imagine adorable Miss Anna flitting and fluttering around, casting little joy spells on all who catch a glimpse of her enchantment. Her smile looks like the kind that gives one “cheek aches” from smiling so hard. What a glorious girlie day.– I’ve never heard of Libby Lu’s – what a fantastic place. Love the concept!

  6. Just a quick addition:
Keenan just walked in and saw Anna’s photos on my comp screen.
He exclaimed: “Hey!! That’s MY Anna!
As I scrolled down to the close-up with the tiara–he actually gasped and said: “Awww, she’s BEUUUTIFUL”.
I think Keenan has a bit of a crush. He still asks about her-almost daily. Looks like her power encompasses the likes of 3 year old boys too.

  7. Tinkerbell on crack – that had me almost choke with laughter!!!! Singlehandedly the funniest thing I have ever heard.

(ps my nickname from my hubby is Tinker and when I tell him this he is going to absoutely die laughing….I think sometimes he thinks I am on crack as well…which I am not by the way!!!)

  8. How did I know she would look just as good in the pictures as she did in real life….
Thanks for sharing, It was a magical day!!!
    I could eat her up……..
