my mom and sisters took anna to club libby lu’s, a place of inexplicable joy to any little girl between the ages of 2 and oh, id say 11? for her birthday.
she got her hair did. and her make up and nails.
and then we got inexplicable joy watching her flit and flutter around. she ran out of that place like tinker-bell on crack, and everyone she passed couldnt help but smile at her.
THIS CHILD KNOWS NOT THE POWER SHE WEILDS OVER ME!
(and we have to keep it that way)
i hate to disappoint you guys but those shoes were a gift from emily. she got them for the girls in paris, france. arent they magical?
So cute! I have to recommend such a place to the moms of my kindergarten students!
I just melt every time she smiles! She looked so darling even days after this was done so I am so happy to see the real deal.
Oh my gosh – I’m a major lurker and don’t think I’ve ever commented (although I truly think I love you in a non-stalkerish kind of way) but I had to say
SHE IS UNBELIEVABLY CUTE!!!!! “Tinkerbell on crack” – just priceless.
Have a happy, happy day
Thanks for the tip. There is one in Temecula, so we are all over it for C’s b-day!
Anna looks adorable, and completley in her element! Did you spend a small fortune? :)
I’m 31 and I want to get my hair done at that place now! Love her shoes by the way. Is she really standing on her toes??
Thanks for sharing!
I have to laugh be/c I was just visiting Disneyland (from very cold Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and pondered having my almost 6 year old daughter all done up at Club Libby Lu…but I was too cheap! I knew it would be expensive, but wasn’t prepared to spend quite that much…and luckily she didn’t discover what she could have done there! I’m glad you shared and I especially love your description of her acting like “Tinkerbell on crack” be/c I can just picture it! She is so freakin’ cute! Thanks for that, maybe next time I will shell out the money!
she is TOO CUTE!
my daughter savannah got to go there on her 4th birthday and she just LOVED IT!!!
they still like it and beg to go when they see it!
she’s a DOLL! power indeed LOL!
tara
Tinkerbell on crack. That has to be the single best line you’ve ever written on this blog.
I love the smile on her face in the last picture. She looks like she had the best birthday ever. Wouldn’t it be nice if, even when we were in our 30’s, we could go to a place like that, get ourselves gussied up and walk around so happy afterward? Yeah, it would. :)
“tinkerbell on crack” HAHAHA!
So fun and she may figure out very soon the power she has over you. LOL So cute.
Tinkerbell on crack…..that is the FUNNIEST thing I have ever heard !!!!!!! She is a doll face :)
Too cute – looks like she’s barely keeping it together with that much excitement.
Tinker bell on crack – very funny!
WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE SHOES!!!! Adorable. And love your comparison to Tinkerbell…
she is SO cute! she’s gonna figure it out girl, i tell ya, they always do. haha! :)
cute. my little one loves libby lu. i too would love to know about the shoes. they are too cute. i’m glad she had a good time. aren’t little girls so much fun.

Oh tara! That face! She wields power over more than just you, I’ll bet…
good strategy. when they KNOW, you’re in big trouble. :)
Okay!! Those shoes!!!! Adorable.
Man, I love her shoes! You have to tell us where you bought them!!
Gotta love Libby Lu’s! Those shoes are to die for and I love her striped dress with the polka dot leggings, too cute!
awwww, she’s adorable!
I love Libby Lu – I was horribly disappointed when my daughter “outgrew” it (along with all that is pink, frilly, froufy, or girly – I was a sad, sad, mommy). Her word, not mine.
She’s so cute!
Pictures like that make me wish I had a girl…
What fun!! I can imagine adorable Miss Anna flitting and fluttering around, casting little joy spells on all who catch a glimpse of her enchantment. Her smile looks like the kind that gives one “cheek aches” from smiling so hard. What a glorious girlie day.– I’ve never heard of Libby Lu’s – what a fantastic place. Love the concept!
Just a quick addition:
Keenan just walked in and saw Anna’s photos on my comp screen.
He exclaimed: “Hey!! That’s MY Anna!
As I scrolled down to the close-up with the tiara–he actually gasped and said: “Awww, she’s BEUUUTIFUL”.
I think Keenan has a bit of a crush. He still asks about her-almost daily. Looks like her power encompasses the likes of 3 year old boys too.
She’s soo stinkin cute! I’ve seen those places, looks like heaven for lil girls:-)
What do you mean an 11 year old, I was thinking about a 50 year having it done. I want to be pampered and princess-ifed.
She TOTALLY looks like she’s standing en pointe in ballet toe shoes!!!
Wow, wish we had something like that overhere. Bet all the little girls would love to go there. Anna looks divine, what a sweet little darling she is with the lovely tiara :)

Tinkerbell on crack – that had me almost choke with laughter!!!! Singlehandedly the funniest thing I have ever heard.
(ps my nickname from my hubby is Tinker and when I tell him this he is going to absoutely die laughing….I think sometimes he thinks I am on crack as well…which I am not by the way!!!)
oh those shoes!!!! well, and of course, anna. she’s a cutie patootie!
Tinkerbell on crack says it all. Her vibrance and enthusiasm even reached me here and made me grin like a silly woman. What a great place!
OMG I laughed OUT LOUD at “Tinkerbell on crack,” because I know of what you speak! We have Club Libby Liu nearby also and my 7-year-old loves it. How funny it is that you also knew I would get to the end of the post and say to myself, “Oh my god, where did she get those shoes?” How about you tell us what brand they are and maybe we can find some on ebay? LOL

lmao!!! Tinker bell on crack! Classic! She does look exceptionally sweet!
How did I know she would look just as good in the pictures as she did in real life….
Thanks for sharing, It was a magical day!!!
I could eat her up……..
love it. Where is this place?
