we met our sweet neighbors kristine and jose on halloween 06 (after living here for almost two years). my excuse for being such an anti-social freaky hermit is that they arent immediate neighbors and they both work outside of the home. we would wave as we passed in the mornings but didnt get the guts to say hi until they had a loft put into their house. the same model as ours. so as our kids said trick or treat i introduced us and asked if they might show us how the loft turned out. kristine and jose (with little david) were so nice and ushered us right upstairs. we talked for a bit and it turned out that kristine hunted me down online and booked a session for november! the first person in my neighborhood i think to really know what i do aside from leave seventeen times a day to take and pick up kids. :)

the session gave us time to get to know each other a lot better (and for me to find out how my kids go and trick or treat at their house often and not on halloween and beg david to come out and play) and their sweet little boy just warmed my heart and soul.

  1. Those are wonderful. Love them all…the last one is too stinkin cute though…hehehe!
Also glad to know that I’m not the only hermit.
Wish I could afford to live in Cali…! I’d be bookin sessions ALL the time.

  2. BEAUTIFUl shots, and beautiful family! The sixth one down spoke to my mommy soul…his little foot in the sand, cuddled up with on mom’s lap ~ what a sweet moment. Makes me want to go grab my little one now and hug him! :-D

  3. You would be my dream neighbor. But I would probably drive you crazy- always wanting you to take pics of me and my kiddos and stuff. But I would bake you zucchini bread and lemon bars as payment. SO maybe it wouldn’t be so bad afterall. =) Great pics…as ususal.
Looking forward to seeing you show us some of your ‘stuff’ at SIStv too!

  4. Love this last picture. They are all great. But I love that little face. That is awesome to get to know a new neighbor Belle. Cracking up that your kids still trick or treat even though Halloween is over. Our neighbor kids came by and said to Adam “Can Brenna play?” He said “she’s not here” and then, “can Jacob play?” he said “no” and they said, “well, then can you play?” LOL I can totally picture your boys asking him to play. :)
