OHMYGOODNESS! I don’t know if I’d have the guts to do that—even in cage.
Do you like the flip? I’m thinking of getting one–the size and ease seem great for travel.

i LOVE the flip! my friend erin got one awhile ago and from then on i kept looking at it online. i decided to get it for the family for christmas as a surprise-and i added in the underwater casing (which is SO affordable and works perfectly) because of hawaii, but also because it will be fun for the littles to play with it in the pool and beach all summer too.
and ive never worked with imovie before and figured out how to do this pretty quickly! it is so fun-im working on another one now.
oh-and karen!
we were in oahu, on the north shore-but i am sure any of the islands have something like this!
That’s it…I’ve been wavering on the flip & you shoved me forward!
Very kewl video Tara! And I love that song, went straight to iTunes to download it.
Tara –
How freaking exciting!!!!!!
On another note – I can’ find your e-mail address but wondered if you had heard this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21767764/
I knew you lived near that family and I came across this tonight and thought I would share….
Very cool experience that will never be forgot. I am pretty whimpy but that may be something I would like to do. Thank you to the above poster for the link to the Coble Family. I have been thinking about this family so much especially during the holidays and I am happy to hear the update.
HOLY SHOW AND TELL! LOL What an amazing experience Tara. Were you scared? Was anyone? I love this music. So relaxing.
Freakin’ made me cry! I so want to do that and the music, the images, Ugh! Wow. What an amazing adventure you had. Really once in a life time experience. I am so happy for you that you were able to do this.
Wow!
Oh how I miss Maui…sigh!
WOW! That’s pretty incredible….yeah I don’t know if I’d have the guts to do that either…you only see that kinda stuff on the discovery channel!! That’s a great experience for your kids too…I bet they were just flying after that!! That would be SO cool! (I didn’t hear the music though! I’m sure it was fitting!)
I am so excited to see you guys doing something so freaking cool. I know your kids are just beside themselves! What a great adventure!
I think this is SO GREAT! How much did it cost? I think our next trip to Hawaii we will have to do it!
I would NEVER be able to do this, even though I am so very intrigued by the mystery of sharks and ocean life. I just wouldn’t have the guts (and some of that has to do with the fact that I don’t even like to be in a body of water that is not chlorinated lol). But wow! That’s just the neatest thing to watch! What a gift… one they will never ever forget!
Wow, thank you so much for posting your shark encounter. I was mesmerized. I’ve enjoyed all your vacation pictures. I bet that video is something you and your family will watch over and over in the years to come. I really felt like you let us into a very intimate part of your life.
Happy New Year!
Hi Tara,
My comment has nothing to do with your post, though the shark thing IS pretty amazing.
I ran into your website randomly a few months ago, when I was just starting my own photography business. I fell in love with your images and your philosophy and got really inspired, but I neglected to bookmark your site and totally forgot your name!
I will definitely add you to my list of who inspires me on Wonder Blog, as soon as I can figure our how.
Just wanted to say hi, and I’m glad to have found you and your work again!

Hey Guys,
Where is the theme from JAWS? I wanted to hear that menacing chello in the backgound!
Music was surreal to me.
cool.cool.cool. i bet your boys were stoked. my family got to swim with wild dolphins off the gulf coast of florida, it was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. wish i had had a flip back them. you guys are the coolist.

Better than the Discovery Channel….I can’t wait to show my son this.
We did the cage thing with the sharks too – and how awesome is that!!! Love the vid you posted, brought back a ton of memories. Wish we could go back and do it again.
That’s a once in a lifetime chance. Thanks for sharing.
Were you tempted to stick your arm through those bars and touch one?
weeee! That looks CRAZY fun!
thank you so much for posting that Tara!
:)
Way too chicken to try this myself because I can’t get that music from the movie JAWS out of my head-lol.
Nice to be able to have this on video for your family to look back on.
Agh! How did you even come up to the surface at all?!? I would need to see what was going on withthose sharks at all times! LOL! Those bars were not close enough together for my liking!
First of that is cooool! Santa brought us a flip too! Glad to know there is an underwater casing for it. We’re going to Hawaii in July.
So much better than Discovery Channel!
What an awesome experience. Love the music, very relaxing..oh my gosh, were the kids scared? I’m not sure I would have had the guts to get into the water, let alone a cage with sharks, yikes! So happy you LOVE your flip. Gotta get me one of those covers for summer fun too!
