last week.
wednesday night.
i asked anna what she would like to do thursday morning, just us.
(i have been so busy lately and working so much during the day i thought it would be a nice break out of the house for both of us.)
she said….”ummmmmmmmmmm.”
“get our nails painted!”
“get mcdonalds for lunch!”
“GO TO THE PARK!”
“and get ………. ice cream?”
way to milk it girl!
i brought the camera out while we were at the park. i havent just had fun taking photos of my kids for a really long time. just doing what i used to do-follow them around doing their thing. clicking away and getting their essence captured.
she was on the swing. i was pushing her and we were singing. and i almost cried at how beautiful she was. her hair flailing about, her huge gap toothed grin, her giggle, her hands, her voice, her eyes….
oh baby girl……
great shots. kids and parks are like springtime and flowers. They just go together.
Tara,
I just heard about this on Howard Stern’s show and looked it up online to make sure it was the same family that you mentioned in your blog a while back. It is. I’ve thought about them often since you wrote about them.

California Couple Expecting Triplets After Losing 3 Children in Car Crash
Wednesday, November 07, 2007
SANTA ANA, Calif. —
A Southern California couple whose three children died when a tractor-trailer rig smashed into their minivan six months ago are expecting triplets.
Lori Coble is seven weeks pregnant with two girls and a boy, who are expected in May. The 30-year-old mother had the three embryos implanted after in vitro fertilization.
“It’s kind of a two-sided coin,” Chris Coble, 36, told the Orange County Register. “We feel amazed that it’s happening, but at the same time we’re still mourning Kyle, Emma and Katie. Nothing will ever replace them. We feel joy for what’s happening, but we’re crying and missing the kids.”
Kyle, 5; Emma, 4; and 2-year-old Katie were killed May 4 when a tractor-trailer rig slammed into the back of the family minivan on Interstate 5 in Mission Viejo. The minivan was stopped in the slow lane of traffic. The trucker was traveling an estimated 70 mph.
Lori Coble, who was driving, and her mother were injured.
The truck driver, Jorge Miguel Romero, 37, has pleaded not guilty to three misdemeanor counts of vehicular manslaughter. He could face as many as three years in prison if convicted.

Remember when you posted about the car accident involving the death of 3 children last summer near your house? These are the same people, right? Amazing story, thought you’d like to know if you haven’t seen this already.

She looks so grown up there, Tara!! She is indeed beautiful. :)
So beautiful. The thoughts and words made me cry…I love the one taken of the bottom of her feet. I would totally print that out and hang it up somewhere. It would be a reminder of that care free day… Lovely.
Your photos are so beautiful that they are actually breathtaking! Your baby girl is beautiful and in the close up, I can really see how much she looks like you. Oh, to have a smidge of the talent you have (not ignoring all of the sweat I’m sure you put into perfecting your “style.”)
Please share how you got such great pictures with a moving target :)
Those are really good pictures! Makes me get emotional for my kid. Way to capture such a great feeling!
she has your amazing eyebrows! so pretty.
She is so much you, your sisters, your mom…You rock for doing all that with her! Don’t you wish we could just keep our little girlies at this age forever?
Looove those toes!!!
Im soo doing that with my girls. You are a great mom! Nothing like a girlie day out. With twins I dont get that opportunity very much its a matter of making it work! You always inspire me. I look so forward to meeting you one day. When are you coming to Toronto , Canada???
Tears. Anna is stunningly gorgeous.
My daughter, Mikaela is told this frequently… and turned to me recently and said “why do people say that to me”?? “Isnt everybody gorgeous?”
GORGEOUS!!
Bx
Have you seen this? It totally looks like your beautiful girl. It’s even called Anna! http://theblackapple.typepad.com/inside_a_black_apple/2007/11/anna.html
Oh… these are awesome.. and those little toes all done up… too cute
Tara, your writing about days with Anna always makes me teary. My baby girl is in first grade now and the thought of those pre-k years when it was *just us* – the older one in school, just me and my girl hanging out during the day, doing whatever we wanted. Even last year in kindergarten, I could still take her to Costco for a hot dog after she got out, before we picked up the big sister. Tooling around town taking pictures of whatever we saw that was interesting. Taking pictures of each other :) To say those times were precious is an understatement. This is such a fun age, I’m glad you’re enjoying each other so much. Gotta go run to get the kleenex now ;)
Tara, those pictures of Anna are so extraordinarily beautiful. It helps that she’s a beauty like her Momma.
really wonderful.
