Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do. Yeah they were all yellow…

and now, so are my kitchen table chairs!

if you have followed my blog since the beginning, youll remember i had an unfinished wood table and i could never figure out what to do with it. emily helped me pick out colors-we started with funky 70s blue, yellow, and green. then we liked the yellow so much we just went with it!

  2. OOhh! cute!!! But now I want to see a pic of all you sitting around it! :) C’mon you can set up a timer photo, right??? I’m trying to picture all 6 of you around it, and I just can’t wrap my mind around that and a table full of food. ;)

  3. Such a lovely color!
Now can we see all the Whitney’s around the table?
That would be a nice everyday memory to capture… the place where a family begins each new day and reconnects in the evening… tfs!

  4. Tara, I agree with Melissa above — I would love to see more of your decor, etc. Hubby and I are moving into our first little home next week and I got a lot of inspiration from the link you had to the cute little apartment. I have been wanting to paint our table and chairs a mustard yellow table and would love to know where you founf that great paint color if you don’t mind sharing. Keep up the highly inspirational good work!

  5. LOVE this! I love that all 6 chairs are different, yet the same now. And loving the white pedestal table to go with it. And especially loving that in that pic you see the 6 chairs and the number 6 perched on your mantle too. CUTE!

  6. Coldplay!! I love that song :) Great pic – I used to want everything to match: not any more. I love that they are all the same yet different. Do the kids each have a favourite? Oh how I love big families. I have 6 siblings yet only one child and that makes me a teensy bit sad. Can’t wait for your new website to launch!

  7. Very cool. How fun to get a peek into your creative home! Also wanted to say that you are beautiful in that new picture. Looking forward to your website! And last, I really enjoyed your SS article…you’re such an inspiring person.

  8. We have a round table for our family of five that is needing some love you just might have given me the lil’ push I need to spruce it up.

I love the six beautiful, cheerful chairs all waiting for their occupants. I love the peak of the number six off to the left there. Read your blog pretty religiously and am a fan of your photography. Your family life is a beautiful one. Keep it up.

  9. OH this is so lovely and summery. I am trying to convince my husband that our new dining table could be fun! I want a silver table.. and black chairs. We are house hunting and it wouldnt suit either house we are hoping for… so I am back looking for inspiration..I always find something here! Love the lil chairs and big chairs!

  10. You so totally rock. I love your chairs. A-N-D…… You have Ron Sexsmith on your site. That TOTALLY puts your cool factor over the top. He has been a Canadian legend for a plenty long time… bout time he get some play south of the border.

  11. Love your Pottery Barn “6”!! :) We have their “3”! Same reason… there are three of us. Love the symbolism! Cool chairs too. My mom has had mismatched chairs at her (similar to yours) table for years and I just love it! Love seeing your work, Tara… you are always so inspiring.
