this is the second time we have taken kenna to see the wiggles, and both times both of us have cried. watching her watch them. her screaming wake up jeff! and singing along and dancing and smiling. she makes us cry.
we will take her every year until either she is over them, or she is 55 and we are so senile that we have to hand the tradition over to one of her brothers and sisters, or we are too fat to sit in the seats.
love the pictures!
thinking of taking my kids one of these times…
she looks like she’s having an awesome time!
aww I totally know that feeling! I’d do anything to make my kids that happy (including enduring the wiggles myself lol)
Aw that is so cute! I remember from last year… Don’t have the pleasure of knowing the Wiggles myself but it sounds fun ;)
just reading this makes me teary. I remember taking my kids to Dragon Tales Live and Barney Live and doing the same thing, crying because of how excited and full of awe that my kids were. It’s so amazing to see their eyes full of that. She’s SUCH a sweet girl.
OMG, I almost spit out my water reading the last bit!! SO glad that Kenna had a great time, so sweet!
Oh’ that is so awesome! SHe looks SO happy. It is so awesome that she got the chance to have one on one with mom and dad. So, So Sweet! Love the pictures!
Man. This post made me teary. You are such a sweet family with such a sweet little girl. How special for you guys to have found something that makes her so happy!
HAAAA! you have great confidence in the wiggles continuing popularity!
u are hilarious!!! kids are amazing!! i cry almost everyday at the things my little girl does too… and she LOVES the wiggles too!!! i have to say at first i couldn’t stand them but now i kinda grove to them… you know the one… wave you arms like henry… wave your arms around and around and around like henry… in my head all day… kinda grows on ya!!! thanks for the pics
i also think it’s super cool that you make each kid feel special by taking them out without the others… i can tell you’re both awesome parents!!!
How wonderful that is T. she has lots of fun, look at her pretty little face all happiness :) This is awesome, spending some qualitytime with Kenna. Don’t know the Wiggles overhere, but a little penpal of our daughter from Canada is also a huge fan :)
The photos are great, the love is jumping out of it :)
Alette
Oh Miss T, you really are my role models of the perfect parents ♥ This is sooooo sooo very SWEET of you to spend some quality time with sweet Kenna doing something she sooo much loves! She looks sooo happy – and so do the two of you :) One can totally see how much you love spending time with each other, how much love there is in your family!
I LOVE this and coming to read your blog every day makes me sooo happy – THANK YOU for this *hugs*
San Diego, right?
We attended quite a few Wiggles shows this week in SoCal and at one of the San Diego shows Friday my daughter Zoe said “mommy- you read that lady’s blog…” I was so absorbed in the show I was like “sure, yes, uh-huh honey…”. Maybe it was you that she saw! They put on the BEST shows. We’re already looking forward to the shows next year. So glad Kenna loved the show.
Amy :)
Well, I’m crying, too. So sweet, Miss T. And God bless you, Miss McKenna.
love the wiggles and all that entertains our childern…they grow up so quickly. at this moment our children 11 to 4 are digging the curious george soundtrack…check it out if you have not heard it.
or until the wiggles can’t “wiggle” anymore LOL!
i took my girlies to see them in chicago before and i enjoyed it as much as they did!
good for yoU!
you are a great mom!
tara
you guys oooooz love, it’s very infectious!!!
oh wow…what a precious girl. I can just see how much fun she had by looking at her face! And how cool that she got mom and dad all to herself! i love taking one child out so i can focus 100% on them!
This brings tears – it is so wonderful to give to our childeren that special moment – what
is so special to each child – we become children ourselves again – photography captures that moment that we can look back and remember
i am fixin’ to cry cuz my kids are too old for me to know who the hell the wiggles are!!!!no clue…my last child (great “dane”) is the caboose of 7 kids…and he graduates in two weeks…empty nest…it comes all tooooo sooon…i always did the one on one thing…especially on their birthdays…skip school…after b-fast in bed and then we were all alone…just the two of us…me and my bug…keep up the good times…i’m the one that feels like a groupie for your blog…ie…life captured…fabulous…very inspiring…
I don’t even have kids, caught it on tv, and was totally entertained, yes i’m a dork! hehe!
ditto to all above – and most of all it’s great that there is something Miss Kenna loves so much and communicates to you that she does – and that she enjoys sharing her love with you. (although I have no idea who the Wiggles are other than from your blog)
carry on loving your family and blogging – I love it.
Tara so cool to see you love the Wiggles. As an aussie it is great to see! They have been around for bout 14 years over here. I took my daughter, who is now 14. to see one of their first concerts. I am still watching them daily with my 1 & 2 year olds.
They are fantastic…and I know every song…bit sad! Maybe you can bring your lovely family to Australia and visit Wiggles World on the Gold Coast…
Hoop de do!!
Go Kenna Go!
She is having a ball and it is written all over her face.
Thank you for sharing
very S*W*E*E*T- love that face & her hat!
-p
so fun!!! that is so great you guys do this with her. I loved your last line….so funny and cute.
how fun for her… I swear you always make me teary… :)
FANTASTIC Tara, we are BIG Wiggles fans as well (ALL of us, lol) so we can totally relate. Looks like you had such an fun time. Sitting here so very jealous as the Wiggles have never come our way. Ah well – we just keep adding to the 14+ DVD’s.
awwww….mckenna will keep you guys forever young!
we’re going to elmo live next month….does she like elmo too, or is she over that?
seeing these pics today took me back to last year when we just got out of the hospital and took kenna to see the wiggles live. it shows me how far kenna has come and how far we all have come. and it reminds me to cherish these moments while they last. not only because something terrible can happen at any moment, but as several people have commented above, our children are only young like this for a short time. this is part of the reason kenna is so special to me… the other kids grow up so darn fast i can hardly remember what the boys were like 2 years ago. but kenna is the definition of slowing it down and taking time to smell the roses. sure, we had to deal with 9 years of changing her diapers, but we also get a lifetime of wiggles fun. rock on kenna… rock on.
~dad
You are the very sweetest looking family in all your photos, always. :)
you crack me up!
cool mom + cool dad = cool kids.
glad you had a rockin’ time!
Oh, just LOOK at her. She is completely happy. What a gift she is! And so are you. I am so excited for you to take our family’s pictures tomorrow…have fun!
Looks like a good time. I love that your family is so adorable.
this makes me happy. for all of you!
Hey Guys, How cool she loves the wiggles so much, we used to take our chickadee years ago, before they left Aussie shores……… she loved them too, nothing like that magical glint in a childs eyes.
Jules
PS So lovely seeing your hubby leaving posts, wish mine would!!
you kill me girl! xox
The Wiggles were also in L.A. last week and came into my mom’s restaurant– she said there were three little girls all googoo eyed over Jyeff… and she had no clue who they were (that is, the Wiggles). Glad you enjoyed the show- great photos, too!
Okay, personally, I think Anthony Wiggle is H.O.T. But, it was your comment about being senile and too fat to sit in the seats that made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the smile…and for sharing your life with all of us.
We’re HUGE wiggles fans here too- we went all weekend when they were in Los Angeles, including for a tv taping on Monday. I don’t know if you know this, but the Wiggles do meet and greets before the concerts for special needs kids, including those with autism. I know it’s too late this year, but next year, you can get M a personal up-close meeting with the boys.
I totally know what you mean about the crying thing- they just bring out the best in my kid- happy dancing and laughter.
I dread the day when Cam’s too cool for the Wiggles.
Your new blog bannner needs to be. “I make this look good.” (Men In Black style) Only you could make the wiggles show look so magical! Although I must admit that I did indeed cry when I took the kids to Dora’s pirate adventure. LOL! Glad you three had that time together!
On second thought maybe “I make YOU look good.” LOL!
Right on! Love these pics & *sniff* Jeff’s post was awesome!
Tara, those pics just make me SMILE! :)
That is the coolest, Kenna looks like she is having sooooooooooo much fun. My two girls love the wiggles too and sing their little hearts out each time they come on. As an Aussie myself I have a soft spot for awesome aussie talent. Go The Wiggles!
OR the Wiggles Retire!
Glad you had a great time!
Gawd, Jeff´s post made this even more perfect *wipes away some tears* You guys make me soooo want to meet you and see how even more wonderful you are in person right away…you´re THE SWEETEST ♥
Well… now I am just embarrassed. I am Australian and we havent made it to the wiggles show yet. Thinking about going back to Dreamworld (home of the wiggles) but .. the wiggles are not there. Love the boys..very clever.. very funny and would be great live.
Hi Tara im an aussie girl too and i just love looking at your blog, your photography is amazing! Isnt Em a joy! she used to teach at the scrapbook shop i work at before she left for the big wide world. i love that your kids love the wiggles, my daughter just turned ten and was a huge fan for years we were lucky enough to attend some of the first cocerts the wiggles ever did and they were free! my eight year old still hums wiggle tunes to herself!
