You will now be known to me as Tara, Goddess of the Photo! It would be worth a trip to LA just to get some photos done!(Of course, that is second to seeing you and Ivy, Em!)

  4. Thank you for your post on the accident a year ago. A year ago we were also in the ICU with my sister in law. She was in a near fatal traffic accident. I didn’t come to find your blog until much later… Much later. and you were an inspiration to me. No one knew if Kathy would live… our lives changed too in ways we a still realizing. For the better. It is so strange thinking back. The memories so real yet so far away. Kathy is ok. Back to teaching…swimming, biking, and doing everything she loves. The Dr’s didn’t know if she would live! Let walk again. My brother spent nights on her hospital room floor watching the monitors and praying that she would live… We all lived at the hospital for weeks. Life came to a comlete stop as we all held our breath and waited for her to live!
Today -I can say I know how you feel. Her accident was Sunday the 20th of February. We will never forget… your post made me cry. So real to me – bringing back all of those feelings that I thought I had tucked so neatly away. Kathy spent forever in the ICU – and then spent a very long time in rehab… leaving rehab in a wheelchair. Kathy is our miracle as Meckenna is yours.
Blessings to your family this week as you remember and move forward treasuring in a way few people can -the gift of LIFE.
Love to you and your family!!! to see photos of Kathy… if you want to… you may visit my blog… http://sandig.blogspot.com
