tara
Those are wonderful, Tara. I love the one with the scale.
I want that dog. He is beautiful.
Beautiful. As usual.
Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely LOVE your pictures, as usual. The parents are beaming and the baby is a doll! Looks like you’ve captured their souls! Am wondering about that scale. Where did you find it? I’ve been looking for something like it for the longest time. Any ideas where I could find one or what the brand is? Thanks!
Dawn S.
beautiful, tara!
Tara, fantastic shots, and yes, you captured thier souls and thier pride and joy. Thanks, again. Granma Dunn (Amie’s mom)
never have I seen such heart and soul captured in the odd assortment of colored pixels (or even film!) I don’t even know these people (and yet I feel like I do as now I’ve had the honor of witnessing the growth of their family), but I was nearly made weepy at the depth of their family unit, their bond and the ability you have to grab such depth and show it to us. brava!
t
tonya (and everyone!) thank you. really. so much. this couple is really just pretty amazing. the life oozes from them. their home is just great to be in. ava couldnt have happened to more more special people. it was easy capturing the love. they brought it. the brought it hard.
-the scale. i knew someone would ask about that. it belonged to mom. i think she found it on ebay.
sooooo awesome T. Stunning, incredible, so heartwarming :)
Hey there everyone – I am so grateful to Tara for capturing my family unit! She is one of a kind! It was a really fun day and I am so pleased with the results. (OK, so I cried when I saw them!)
Tara was right – I bought the scale on Ebay. I did a search for Vintage Baby Scales and this is the one that I liked the best. Good Luck!
Amie
You amaze me!
holy-freakin’-WOW…!
this album is absolutely breathtaking…so glad they had YOU….so glad you had THEM…:o)
Oh T. this is so beautiful and what a great family. You really did a great job, yet again :)
Alette
SO fabulous!!!
And mom is just STUNNINGLY beautiful! I thought that with the LAST batch of pictures…
You’ve captured this as though you were just a fly on the wall…I love that feeling…
Tara – These pictures – as usual – are AMAZING! Love the way you capture every detail! Brings tears to my eyes seeing your beautiful work! Thank you for sharing! :)
You’ve amazed me again – you’ve just grown as a photographer, truly capturing the essence of the people you photograph. You know you have a talent when people who don’t even know the people in the portraits can ‘feel’ what they are feeling. I teared up on more than one shot. Such wonderful emotion in each and every one.
So wonderful. :)
I notice the difference in Tonka’s demeanor when the baby is in the early photos…reminds me so much of my Oscar when we brought home daughter #1. He’d been the “only” for 5 years & wasn’t all that impressed. :) Betting Tonka and Ava will become fast friends…those pooches have such soulful eyes where the little ones are concerned!
Wow….those are just breath-taking. I work in a NICU in texas and parents are generally trying to cover the baby’s ‘button’ and scars up for photos…these are SO REAL and amazing!!! I have tears too!!! LUV THEM and luv your work tara!
that is SO cool! i love that they had you come back and i love how you copied the door frame pic that you did with their last shoot! beautiful job all around!
and yeah….awesome scale.
Boy, what a great gift for that family and you are extremely talented. Way to go.
t, these are just amazing.
i wish that i could afford to fly you to texas, because i would love to have some of your pictures in my own home.
what a lucky family they are. they have been blessed many times over.
k
WOW!
These photos make me just love this family that I don’t even know.
You have a gift Tara!
AHHHHHHHHH! LOVE these, T! adorable family- the new baby gets me all excited. sad that my preg is almost over and i didn’t get over there to you! :(
Absolutely Beautiful. You are my photography hero…right up there with Ansel. :) My favorite ones are the profile of Tonka with baby and mom in the background. And the one with the sign “I am a child of God”. Awesome!
love them love them….you rock my world…
just beautiful….your angles kill me, I so wish I could do that! I’d have to say, even though there’s adorable Ava, my favorite is of Tonka’s side profile and running…so cute! Ava being held up on the baby scale is right up there too!
SEriously need one of those scales — they are SO cute…
Beautiful as always. I love the shots of them walking with the dog and Ava in their neighborhood. Very cool.
O.M.G.!!!! You have completely outdone yourself this time Tara Whitney. These are absoultely INCREDIBLE!! This family must be THRILLED beyond words. I certainly would be. Can we bring our dogs to CA? LOL!
Absolutely unbelievable. Just gorgeous.
These are so wonderful, Tara. I think this proof set is one of my favorites ever. LOVE the shot of Ava on the bed in focus with the parents blurred behind. Such gorgeous work. :o)
great shots! i love to see slinging mamas! you really captured the LOVE here!!
Gorgeous!
Oh Tara!!! These pictures brought tears to my eyes. No couple is more deserving of such a precious little one. Ken and Aimee are just beaming!! You really captured their love for her on film. Thanks for sharing these awesome photos of an awesome little family!!! Aimee she is gorgeous!!! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!!
Absolutely LOVE the photos with the dog in the foreground and the baby in the background. It really reminds us that so often the dog is a couples’ first baby, and he needs to remain in focus! Also loved how you focused on Ava’s g-tube and scar. So many people would be inclined to hide those, yet they tell an important story about her life at this time. These are your best photos yet!
ok, WOW WOW WOW. these are beyond beautiful.
and why haven’t you called me yet?!! i sit by the phone…i wait…i cry…
hehe
i guess i am going to have to call you?!!!
beautiful work Tara!
cool stuff, lady!
Oh, Tara, how do I succinctly echo the thoughts of many others — just breathtaking images that are memories of a lifetime for this lovely young family. You are a true artist!
Compliments and thanks for sharing your work.
Ciao,
Dee
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Tara! TFS!
Tara, I’ve never commented before, I love all your work…but this album is so wonderful. I gasped out loud when I saw the shot with the in-focus Tonka with mom in baby fuzzy in background…good heavens that is beautiful. And I saw someone else mentioned that!
Please move to Memphis?
Wonderful as always. I love the toes photo. That baby is so lovely. It looks as if she has a feeding tube and had heart surgery from her scar, but she sure does look healthy! Is she okay?
Corinna
seems that little lady has had a rougher start to life than most – yet she is simply so beautiful. What stunning photos Tara – something I know that family will treasure forever.
You’re a special person!
Amazing as always!! What a cutie!! and how the heck did you get that dog to pose!
tara, of all the shoots you have done, this is my absolute-hands-down-favorite. man you keep getting better n’ better. plus the new camera is working wonders i see.
i wonder where she got the baby sling…never seen anything like it. (at least not in a cool pattern like that….plus the matching purse!)
I love the continuity between then and now with the hall and Tonka. Ava is such a little cutie with darling features! So happy for Ken and Amie!
Loved the one of the feet, loved the one of baby with knowing expression while parents kissed, loved Tonka I want him! Great job T-they were all fabulous!
