this is christine

she is one part of a group of women i have known for a very long time. we met in 1996.

1996.

wow.

christine, sharla, erin, and i realized we had scrapbooking in common, so we met every wednesday night at one of our houses. it was something we all looked forward to so much. it was such a fun time in my life. after about a year, we all moved. we split up. all over southern california. our wednesday nights turned into once a month saturdays. and then those turned into every other month overnighters. our group grew over the years to add sheridan, stacy, carole, and celestial.

now christine lives in arizona, so we see each other even less, but when we do it is always just like it was before.

it was her birthday last week, so i took her out front and attacked her with my camera. :)

more photos of my friend here.

  1. AWESOME pics!! I envy the circle of friends you have. All mine have either moved away or we grew apart! My fav pic is the Napolean Dynamite pic!! AWESOME! Her numchuck skills shine thru!! LOL!!

  2. Great photos, Tara!! It’s so awesome that you have a circle of friends you can share your interests with! Even better that through the distances, you’ve kept in touch and kept the friendships up…so important. Your friend is very lucky to have you in her life and I’m sure she feels the same! Enjoy her visit….

  3. Friendships are so awesome and the “older” ones are so precious – they’ve been able to stand the test of time. You’re one lucky girl to have such beautiful people in your life! A really good doesn’t hurt either!

  4. Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing more of your talent and eye. Friends like these are so grand and important to have. Keep in touch more, vow to call more or write more often. I doing “re”touches with friends that I got lazy in keeping in contact with. It’s been blissful!

  5. Isn’t it funny to think of how many hours we poured into using Mrs.Grossman and circle cutters with a glass mat? Wouldn’t trade the memories for the world though! Christine, I just love the shape of your lips. :) Sassy!

  6. All those late nighters…the giggles, huggs and crazy cow paper…Love you guys…Love the awesome photographer…love the beautiful Christine Ü

  7. wow! such nice things to say. however i guess the napoleon dynamite one does look a bit too much like him. lol this is definitely a testament to tara’s photography though. other pics of me are not like this. i too have so many fond memories of our scrapbooking evenings and weekends. but i still laugh out loud at “psycho cow statue of liberty paper”. to this day i can’t imagine what the people were thinking that produced that product line and i wished i still had some to show people who might not believe it existed. i am so glad our group is reuniting.
tara, thank you thank you thank you. i can’t thank you enough. what you all don’t know also is that when she was taking these pics she kept telling me how pretty i looked and i actually felt pretty.

  8. Hi Tara, I know that you don’t know me, but I am a fan of your blog. I really enjoy checking it out everyday, to see what neat things that you have to say and the great pictures that you take.
Normally I wouldn’t make any comment (because I tend to be shy that way), but I just had to say how much I love the pictures of my cousin Christine. She is a great girl and we have always been close. Not only is she my cousin, but she is my dear friend too. I love her bunches. I’m so glad that you two have such a great friendship. She always says wonderful things about you. Keep on bloging :)

  9. Great pictures of your friend. . . and what a wonderful group of friends you must have. Wow. . . 9ish years!

And the necklace reminded me of the lollipop shoppe and vegatable garden ones you did a while back. Did you make it?

So glad you guys could reconnect.
