‘home is wherever i’m with you.’

Figured it was time to show off some client images instead of personal ones. The Thiede family is living in that RV, traveling around the US with their crew of six. I met up with them in Orange County, CA at Doheny State Beach.

In the mom/daughter walking down the beach shots I told them to pretend they were in a tampon commercial – that’s how I get the big laughs.

You can read Alicia’s thoughts on our session here, where you are certain to fall as in love with her as I did.

  1. Tara–I’ve just spent hours reading your blog, rejoicing in your beautiful images, and laughing and crying at your honest words. Thank you. –Christene

  2. I have to tell you that though I do not leave comments often, I have followed your blog for years and you never cease to move me. I mean really, TRULY move me. With your words, your heart, that talent of yours that you share so beautifully. I have often expressed to my husband that I would never again wish for another Mother’s Day gift if he would book our family a session with you. With our newest, and last, little one on the way and with our family moving back to SoCal shortly, I hope he takes me seriously.

  3. Tara I am one of your many Blogstalkers, I get excited when I see there is something new here and I love the personal images you put up here. This set of images is awe inspiring , I don’t know the family I’ve never met them but looking at your images I really feel I do. I can see into their soul and they look like the sort of people I’d really love to get to know. They are so creative it make me want to pick up my camera right now and see what new things I can come up with. (only I’ve got the school run to do first !)
    Thank you

  4. I just came across your blog, your site after reading Kelle Hampton’s interview with I Heart Faces today where she mentioned you are the particular photographer whose work inspires her. I read through your last few posts, and after falling head over heels in love with your kids’ outfits, your story of catching the light – I am in tears, in awe, and feeling somehow relieved and grateful to have been given a little glimpse into your soul and your heart. Thank you for sharing your beauty. I look forward to learning more.
