proofed

this is an example of a photo i proofed for a recent client. (thank you elisa!)

her photo was the most technically "off" yet. i am sure she wont mind me saying that. ;)haha. just wanted to show an example of what i did this morning.

had to postpone my shoot today-still feeling sick.

digging for something to post

my last two weeks have flown by with being sick and then catching up from being sick.

bummer part is, i woke up sick again today and im off to the dr to make sure i feel better this weekend. i have photos to take! (finally!) yay! i am excited about my shoots this weekend. one in a home in the LA area (and she showed me pictures of it and i cant WAIT to get in there), and then another client is driving down from simi valley to shoot in a wilderness park near my house. going to be fun. ill have lots of things to share soon! lets just hope i get better…

also this weekend is a Freestyle workshop at my local scrapbook store The Scrapbook Oasis. Tia Bennet, Rhonna Farrer, Kim Henkel, and Emily Falconbridge are teaching classes. I am supposed to go tonight to the crop-we will see if my medicine kicks in. there are still spots open i am pretty sure if you havent heard of this yet!

for now, ill leave you with one of the only shots that i have left that i havent shared from this month.

have a great holiday weekend!

update on proof

hey everyone!

so things are going great with my new little venture. its so fun to see other families and other cute kiddos! thanks to everyone who has emailed me.

someone asked me if i would be using jinky’s actions when i proofed your photos, and my initial thought was, yeah sure-if i think the picture calls for it….but then i thought wait a minute-maybe not. i wasnt sure if i felt right about it. like, maybe there is something shady about that….? so i wanted to check with her before i did anything. so i asked her about it and after talking, we dont think its any different then a pro photographer buying her actions, using them on their photos, and selling to clients.

so to re-answer that question, i will use her actions just like i would with my own photos or photos of clients-if i feel the picture can benefit from it!

just FYI. :)
