getting a shot like this of mckenna is PURE LUCK. luck luck luck.
i am lucky.
this was at her school picnic today. her teacher got my attention, pointing at mckenna, "tara! camera!"
i ran over and got three shots before she moved. she just sat like this as cute as can be, resting in the shade.
i have no business looking at these and posting them right now-i have so much to do-but i am feeling frustrated and yucky about my creative mojo and the stuff i am working on. so i wanted to do something that would make me feel happy and good.
took these yesterday. i just love her so much. she is such a little spunkmonkey. i could hardly get her to sit still. but i took my own advice and just let her be. took her for what she was at that moment.
the party was fabulous. i didnt take as many pictures as i would have liked, but i have a bunch coming from friends. ill post pics soon!
we are having a huge party for mckenna this weekend-to celebrate not only her 10th birthday, but also her recovery. that its been a year since her hospital stay and everything is going so good for her.
its so wonderful to have friends in high places. cathy designed an invite for us. and my sweet friend christine took the photo of mckenna during another birthday party.
i wish i could somehow invite everyone who was such a great support for us. (that would be you!) but i will make sure to share lots of pictures when its over. and say a very sincere thank you once again for everything.
so since i have a ton of stuff to do to get ready, i wont be posting on the old blogger until next week. i am so excited for the party!
