What I’m digging this week – black cab sessions

The Black Cab Sessions from Black Cab Sessions on Vimeo.

I came across this while surfing the web today and I am still hyper about it after an hour. That means I probably really, really, really like it. A lot. Music, artists, an adorable black cab. ONE SONG, ONE TAKE, ONE CAB.

There are SO MANY AMAZING artists. REAL MUSIC. Inspiration overload.

Some of my favorites? Lyyke Li, Fleet Foxes, Brian Wilson, Ryan Adams, Martha Wainwright, and and and….?

I love the internet.

Black Cab Sessions.

(And I am left wondering, how would my dear Ben Folds fit his piano into a cab?)

Put the iPod on shuffle.

Pour the margaritas.

Marinate the steaks.

(And the Zooks.)

Bake the potatoes.

Order the kids to ride five laps around the neighborhood in an effort to remove the bad from their “baditudes”.

Take in their red cheeks and sparkling eyes when they return. Give them hugs.

Listen to the guys.

Sit in chairs.

With your feet up.

Be present in the moment.

Smell your dinner cooking.

Salivate.

Smile.

Get the fixin’s prepared.

Set the table.

Say thank you for the help in the kitchen.

Plate the meals.

Burn your fingers on the potatoes.

Bring the food to the table.

Laugh.

Eat.

Feel entirely content and satisfied with your life.

Take note and make sure to stop and let all of the good in life sink in.
