san francisco: chrissy field

we have another day of thanksgiving today – double turkey and stuffing for me so im all over it. we had a great day with jeffs family yesterday, whipping each other at cards, watching the concert the kids put on in the backyard. and today will be my family with more of the same i suppose. i forgot my damn camera yesterday-so bummed-especially when the kids did their concert-so today i will have to make up for lost time…

here is my fifth session while in san francisco-loved these kiddos who were up for anything and ready to play with me!

  1. Love love LOVE the pics you got of my dear friend Pam’s family :)) – I’ve been stalking your blog daily waiting for you to post the sneak peek!!! AWESOME shots – you captured the kidlets so wonderfully!! ;)

  2. Tara- Wow! Am I ever in love with what you can do with a camera…

I’ve found and been reading your blog for the past few nights and now that I’m caught up, I’m sorta bummed I read it all so fast. Now I’ll just have to wait around for posts like the rest of your readers.

I’m wondering…did you teach yourself photography and do you have ANY pointers/tips/recommendations/resources for beginners on getting over the hump towards more advanced photographic skills?

Thanks for being an inspiration. I’ve added your button to my blog. It makes me happy just to look at it. :)

~Looking forward to learning more from you. (Hey- whatever happened to posting the “recipes” of your shots!?)

  3. Wow! How can I live in the Bay Area and have NEVER done a session in S.F.?!?! (Oh yea…gas and toll are uber expensive ;) ) You definitely inspire me to get out there and take advantage of my own backyard! (And I am super nervous about a family session coming up soon. Why families freak me out…who knows?) I think i just need more experience cause I definitely have the inspiration!!! Thanks again!!!

  4. Wow, what perfect pictures. These are all wonderful. Love the one with little girl holding the stand of wheat (?) in front of her. Looks like a magazine cover! Beautiful work as usual and always a pleasure to browse.

  5. Tara…I absolutely love your work! Can you maybe share a little secret with me??
How do you get a shot like the first one on this post? With the sun shining right at me I usually get super dark faces and great background or okay faces with a totally blown-out background! What do you do to get both the background and faces??
