it was indeed as hot as the surface of the sun.
not favorite.
hot and dirty at the pumpkin patch.
i can handle getting hot.

I CANNOT HANDLE BEING HOT AND DIRTY ALL AT ONCE.
mckenna and i win first prize for being the biggest whiners.
luckily, everyone ignored us and we had fun anyway.

the pumpkins are now piled on our front porch and distributed to friends at school.
and we are no longer hot.
White pumpkins are my favorite! Except for orange pumpkins.
i am cracking that you and kenna win for biggest whiners although hot and dirty are not my favorite combo. just add hungry and tired for a super fun time! oh and repetitive noise! LOL awesome pics. love that you can see tiny freckles on nate’s nose.
Love the white pumpkins.. but my favorite are the blue ones! Or maybe the super day-glo orange. Gotta have all the colors piled on my front steps!

We go to Tanaka Farms every year and we went a couple of weeks ago too! How funny, I didn’t see yall but we were there really early on a Sunday Morning. My kids love it!
I just want to say, WOW your kids look like you! I know you have heard that a million times and more, but, in case there was a doubt I wanted to make sure I got my comment in… THEY LOOK LIKE YOU!!! CLONES I SAY!

I have kinda admired you for awhile now, for photography, but the more I read you, the more I admire you for your honesty and your way of being. I have heard you comment on occassion a sadness about McKenna, I dont’ know how you feel, but I know how I feel when I can’t make my step daughter better (cystic fibrosis).. it is undescribable but I just want to tell you, that when she looks in to your camera, I am overwhelmed. I stare at her eyes and smile. I like that she makes me grow… thank you for your family! They are amazing!
we went to tanaka farms, too… but it was the first weekend it was open this year… i’ve never gone to the punkin patch in september before.= )
it is a fun place! my kiddos fell in love with the lil black and white piggie. it was too cute!
gosh the corn maze has grow! my lil kiddos could totally see over it when we went… i was thinking they should have started growing it a bot sooner cause you couldn’t really get lost in it. ; )

yippee!! i had no idea Tanaka had a corn maze…been looking for one around here and really didn’t want to drive up to Bakersfield to go through one.

I instantly recognized Tanaka Farms from your first pic. We were just there last Saturday. Had a good time, but it was very crowded, and yes, hotter than we would have liked. Bright too. But I love looking out onto the sea of orange pumpkins. Quite definitely my favorite time of the year. So neat to see you at the same place. I’m used to reading blogs where the people are from somewhere else, far away from me. And you are so close by, probably going to many of the same places as my family. Anyway, glad you had a good time, despite the dirt and heat. :) Thanks for sharing your day.
