Jeff: is the floor really everything you wanted and more?
Tara: why do you ask
Jeff: it is a big investment
Jeff: i saw the 1st couple boards going down
Jeff: it looked ok
Tara: we cant turn back now man
Jeff: but i wasnt blown away
Tara: it looks great
Jeff: i know we cant
Tara: i love it
Jeff: i just hope it is everything you wanted and more
Jeff: if not it is ok
Tara: you always make snap judgements about all decorating
Tara: paint colors
Jeff: OMG
Tara: old windows
Jeff: stop it
Tara: yellow chairs
Jeff: i dont care
Tara: :)
Jeff: i care about what YOU think
Jeff: i want YOU to be happy :)
Tara: yes, i think it is everything i wanted and more
Jeff: good
Tara: but i dont make snap judgements
Jeff: haha
Tara: so i will let you know when an entire room is done
Tara: it needs to soak in
Jeff: they are not snap
Jeff: they seem snap because i combine 32 years of experience into a finely tuned instant judgment.
for the record, the first room is done and its everything we BOTH wanted and more.
laughing SO loud. I am pleased I am not the only one who IMs/hellos her husband. hahaha I can often be found letting him know I might be in need of a another dose of caffiene electronically. ;)
He gets his own email address for our business.. barista@…hehehe
LOL, but very sweet!
OMG.
This sounds like a conversation my husband I would have. Everything always ends with him saying “I just want you to be happy.”
So glad that your renovations are going well and you two are happy with them. :)
that could be us, too, except that the last line in the conversation usually ends up as ‘i just don’t want to hear about it over and over.’ muh-wah-hahahahahahahaha!
You guys are too cute!
Too cute!
Can’t wait to see pics!
Glad you both love it!
We got laminate flooring throughout our entire house and LOVE it!

iChatting with the husband while he is at work is always fun! its great having such an easy connection during the day, don’t you think?
That last line sums up “Blink”, by Malcolm Gladwell perfectly. =)
I’m glad you like the floors, show pics when you can!! And thanks for the blog, my older son is in love with Mckenna. =)
oh my gosh, i totally loved that!
i love you guys :)
This totally cracked me up this morning. My husband and I have very similar conversations :-)
Ha ha ha, that is toooo funny!
oh good! your hubs is so so sweet!
i wanna see…you guys are cute
hysterical! oh my gosh. hysterical.
can’t wait to see them!!!
That is so sweet. You guys are clearly best friends, and I can tell he loves you so much. That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see the new floors!
LOL! too cute.
my favorite is his last line combining 32 years experience into an instant judgement. thanks jeff. think i will be using that one (except i will be adding two more years)
hiLARIous!! haaha I’m sure it IS gorgeous!!
this is too funny and too cute! I love your husband’s sense of humor… the one about you being too cold hearted to enjoy the laughter of the kids that one day still makes me laugh!! And I think of it often when I should be enjoying the kiddos but instead am stessed about something or trying to get them to brush their teeth instead of playing super hero games through the hallway.
Enjoy your new floors! :-) -L
