  4. Awesome pictures! I still don’t understand how you can take a picture of anything, including traffic and drive throughs, and turn into a piece of art! You’re amazing. Simply amazing.

  5. I looked at all the pictures, and they’re great. The one of McKenna with the sun behind her is so effing perfect, and the one of her sitting with her legs crossed and what looks like popcicle all over her face is the bomb. Your kids and family are so cute I can’t stand it.

  6. such FUN!!! i love that life vest one with the three boys. i LOVE that one of McKenna smiling big on the boat, and one of the last pics of you all standing there as a family. Everyone looks so happy. i loved so many more, but i don’t want to write a book on it. thanks for sharing your vacation with us!

  7. Oh how fun! Loved looking through these!

For some reason, a couple of shots of Anna in the tent (one where she’s in the doorway and the one of her & drew right after that) really struck me. Besides all the other really fun ones, it gave me that nostalgic family trip feeling and made me think that one day she’s going to look back on her childhood (and when I say “look back” I don’t mean just looking at the millions of pictures mama will have taken of her by the time she’s grown :) ) and really cherish these times. Just wanted to share that with ya. :)

  8. What a blast! Love little grubby kidlets after they’ve been having the time of their lives camping. The life jackets look GREAT on film. Beautiful family!
Oh, I should probably introduce myself too…I’m Kim, one of the may lurkers who look to you for inspiration. *waving* Thanks for being so darn cool!

  9. tara, you are so sweet to share the entire album! i love looking at your photos, like i’ve said a million times before!! they are so inspiring, so good!! i love the one where drew is in the tent and the little girl is getting his nose, so sweet and the light was just perfect there. i loved them all!! your family is so cute. =)

  10. Tara,

Santa Barbarian here! Just love your pixs. Wish I knew you were coming up … I would of stalked you. jk :) Even the Goleta In & Out photo looks amazing. I am a huge HUGE huge fan of you photography and scrapbooking. I wish a bit of your artist eye. I hope someday I can afford to book a photo session with you. Until then hope to maybe bump into you when you might be in this part of SB again.

  11. You make me want to go camping!! My “little” girls are now 17 and 22, but these photos remind me of all the camping we used to do with friends—there were 9 kids and 6 adults—lots of dirt, grime, sand, smoke, grit, dust, along with the hilarity, booze, laughs, hot dogs, cozy tents, sunshine, and once a downpour that sent the three moms & 9 kids into a local motel room—all together! The dad’s had yet to arrive, and we made the kids go straight to bed so they wouldn’t hear their foot steps on the ceiling in the motel room below us—than we three moms drank vodka tonics & played cards while shushing all the kids :). *thanks for the camping memories!

  12. LOVE THESE PIC’S gives me ideas of what pic’s to take when our family goes camping in 2 weeks. Love the one of the kids in the tent, always took the outside never thought to do the inside ;o)……LOVE LOVE LOVE the in n out pic—–my favorite hamburger of course “animal style” …love your blog and your awesome photography talent ;o)
