I just returned from an overnight work trip up to San Francisco. Being there inspired me to delve into the last time I visited and share the work I made. This is a family who has been in front of my camera four times over the last eight years, for which I am grateful. Our times together have become just as much about catching up as they are about the photographs.

I especially love the shot of mom and dad in b & w, with all that city in the background. And you know what else I love? The ease of how families are with you. No one’s in matching outfits. They’re just kids. Glorious kids. Love that.

Tara. Your eye is incredible. Every family looks amazing yet so normal. Some day, I will again be gainfully employed. Some day, I will have some spare money instead of freaking out over the bills. When that some day arrives, somehow you will meet my family and you will create magical memories for us.
