This is Take 2 with this great little family from San Francisco. I worked with them three years ago and it was on their first session that I discovered my “in betweens“. On this session I taught them something new : how to eat Sourgrass.

So beautiful Tara!. I need you to take photos of my family soon.
Wow, what a fun session! Such beautiful, creative images of the five of them. The one on the green grass with the little girl running in front is to die for. I wish I had some photos like this of my family. Aaaaand now I want to go to San Francisco!
TARA!! seriously?? how do you do it EVERY TIME?? these are so good. yes, that really wide shot of the five of them with the little girl running in front is the kind of photo that i wish i had of my family – blown up 4’x6′ on my living room wall. and the one right below it. those are my favorite kinds of photos (and dear san fransisco, i love your haze). the kids stepping out into the ocean… and the little girl hugging her pretty mama with her hair blowing in the wind. someday i want some Tara Whitneys just like this. xo
These kids are really cute. Love the setting.
Ohhh, look at all the blues and greens! What a great session!
man, oh, man. these are, as usual, so good. how do you do it, lady?! so many great locations in one shoot, too. just love!
I love, love the shot of the family in front of the two windows. Just so genuine, the laughter. Plus, the kids running down the hill with Mom and Dad in the background is really cool. Just very real.
such a beautiful family and beautifully real images.
Tara these are so beautiful! One of these days I’m gonna get TW pics of my sweet fam; until then I’ll keep pretending the families you blog are my own. These rock.
I love when I see one of my favorite places in the world through your lens/eyes. My beloved Southern California beaches, and now the Golden Gate Bridge and that lovely little park down the road from the Fort. Thank you for sharing these (you had AMAZING weather in San Francisco)!
I always love seeing your photos in SF because that is my backyard. :) What a magical place it is. And fun family photos…love the Golden Gate in the background. That bridge (and the Pacific just beyond it) is like an anchor in this Californian’s heart.
TW:: you make photo magic–this session is gorgeous. and and echoing kati: the one of the little girl running out in front with the city in the background? love.
I love everything about this shoot.
I just love your darn beach sessions way too much. Such a happy, cute family!
Seriously beautiful photo session! :) Love your work.
I really enjoy your work. Thank you for the inspiration!
