it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.
it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

That is one of my favorite quotes. Your picture goes perfectly with it.
Love this quote and the picture fits beautifully! I came across this song and thought you might like it. It reminded me of you and your photos! Bishop Allen “click, click, click, click”. Have a great day! Shelley
I love this.
Peace is my “one little word” for the year (ala Ali Edwards). I love when little bits of it grace my day and make me smile. Thank you!! :)
mmmmm beautiful, i love this.
i miss the beach
peace is my word for the year too … i received a card from a friend yesterday with the same quote printed on! Love the photo Tara :-)
Working on this very meditation today, must be something in the air.
I like it! :)
Just too beautiful.. It is just what I need when life becomes occupied with doingness but not beingness. I should remind myself of this all the time.
Not to rain on anyone’s parade or anything, but I cannot help but fell the irony smacking me in the face of the quote about finding peace amongst chaos paired with the photo which embodies peacefulness–no kids, no loud noises, just a lovely beach. Perhaps you are playing with our minds dear one?
uh uh. no way. peace unless you have a bag of potato chips. then it really is total panic and chaos.
This is one of my favorite quotes. I believe its by Buddha, not unknown.
Love this one, it could be on my beach in France, it looks similar. I leave near a beach of the debarquement of june 1944 and this quote goes perfectly with this pictures for me.
Oops, i live near….
that quote could not be more perfect for this day… or this season of life for that matter. thanks :)
I needed this quote today… :)
So true. I’m really struggling with this peace thing lately, myself.
Seagulls kind of freak me out Tara….I’m with Jefra, those birds can get nasty when junk food is involved!
this post is all sorts of amazing!
I have a very important meeting tomorrow as part of my journey to get a doctorate in early childhood education….and tonight I found this post. Perfect timing. Thanks.
LOVE.
wonderfully said.. and awesome image
Thats the best kind of peace. It’s untouchable. Thanks for reminding me not to get too stressed out today! =)
Tara, I have a little canvas with this quote on it hanging in my guest bathroom, and I love it. It reminds me that the calm I’m always searching for is in me. I just have to slow down and find it. It goes perfectly with your ocean photo. How nice is it that you have such close access to that?
Amen sister.
Thanks for the reminder.
(My mother is visiting and lets just say I’ve been saying the F word a few too many times in my head the last 24 hours. Give. Me. Strength. And I do love her. I’m just sayin’.)
good stuff tara….beautiful shot!
so perfect. so true. and also being a mom of 4, i feel ya.
hmmm…i like that. alot. thanks for sharing.
