your mom comes home from target and shows you your new shirts.
you are pretty stoked over them actually, showing off to your sisters.
“these are cool! thanks mom!”
you put them on, marching around, rubbing your hands all over your stomachs.
when suddenly, you look at each other, then at me, point to the design on the tshirt, and say,
“but what are these?”
That is too funny, we had the same conversation the other day in Target.
hilarious! luke has the same shirt as nate…love target!
Oh my gosh! That’s hilarious!
I was actually thinking of buying myself that cassette tape shirt… gotta love the eighties!
thats hysterical!
numerous years ago – my much younger brother-in-law was with us (his brother/my husband) and asked, “what’s a record?” nothing like making you feel a tad old!! cute post – especially the way you worded it. My kids ask me, ‘mommy, what was your favorite DS game when you were little?” my reply always amazes them. “Mommy didn’t have electric games growing up – I had to play outside with my friends”.
Hahahaha!! Awesome shirts!
Whatever you do, don’t get them a shirt with an LP or 8track on it!!!!!
oh my gosh…i feel so OLD.
HA! That’s funny!
OMGosh! this made me laugh!
thanks I needed it today.
Great shirts, I am sure I will be purchasing those soon for my teenage boys.
HAHA!!! nice! cant wait to show my kids my cassette tapes, kinda like 8tracks with my mom. LOL!!
too funny!
my niece and nephew were the same way about a rubix cube! LOL!
ha! love it! my kids saw a record album and thought it was a giant cd!
OMG that’s hillarious!! Wow I feel old!
HA! LOL hehe “But what are these?” Oh geez
LOL. I bought the boombox shirt for my son- love it!
LOL!!!!!
LOL – priceless.
Hillary
Oh my gosh, this made me laugh so hard! Say it ain’t so!
That is too funny! I was at a yard sale this weekend and there was a whole bunch of tapes that were like .10 cents a piece…”what a steal I thought to myself” and then I thought about how I would listen to them…darn I-pod, wouldn’t even be able to get them on there ;)
that’s awesome!
LOL! Too funny (and scary)!
They don’t know what they’re missing! Too funny, Tara.
dang!
oh that’s so sad. :-)
This post has made my day. Thanks!
**spew spit on screen**
tooooooo funny. Kids these days eh???
HAHAHAHA, I didn’t expect that as I was reading, hahaha…great!
I hear ya! I just posted on my blog yesterday about going to the hospital to have my 11 year old, and how I brought my portable cd player (pre-ipod) and my phone cards (pre-cell phone) to call people from the hospital phone! Things change SO FAST…..
ha ha too funny. Reminds me when I sent my Grade One student into the office to call his mom. He came back and said he didn’t know how to dial the phone (it was an ancient rotary one).
haha…..this make me feel really old now :-) I can only imagine what my 4yr old daughter will say to make me feel old when she is their age…can’t wait!
OMg…. just about the funniest thing I’ve read in a while.
I am going to Target tomorrow. That red one is fabulous.
LMAO!! You can always make me crack up when I least expect it!!!!!
I adore this post! It just makes me smile—and the shots are great too!
Lovely, funny story…
: )
LOL! TOoo funny! My friends daughter who was about 10 at the time was ecstatic over her God mother’s record collection, only she called them BIG BLACK CDS!!!!!!!!! This happened about 10 years ago!
This is so true and funny… good to know… this is sure coming my way :)
Very cool.
LOL! Love that. Ok seriously our children will never know the joys of having to wind the cassette with your finger because the stupid tape player tried to “eat your cassette” Good times…they don’t know what they are missing.
Your Target gets much cooler things than ours. I did end up finding the rolling backpack and got it on clearance even. Thanks for always inspiring-my son thanks you, too. :)
SHUT UP! Tell me this did not happen. How does life pass so quickly? How am I THIS old??
Everyone loves new shirts! Can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me…
hahahaha!!!
THAT is FUNNY! It never occured to me that our kids don’t know what cassette tapes are…..or BOOM BOXES! Ah, sweet memories.
Oh, my. It is official. I’m old.
