I saw this this morning & its fantastic—no matter who you vote for you just gotta register and at least try to step out of the black hole of complacency.
If you want something hilarious—‘the simpsons’ have released a short video w/Homer trying to vote in this year’s election:
I’ve not seen that video before! Most excellent!
Leave it to Sarah Silverman…
Very good! Haven’t seen this!
I have added it to the blog.
I’m probably going to be ridiculed for saying this but I found the video kind of condescending. I truly appreciate the sentiment because I take the right to vote very seriously but, I don’t know, something about the “reverse psychology”/”celebrity endorsment” thing just seems a little patronizing to me.
So brilliant. Thanks for sharing!
*lol* I’m no American, but I love this video!! They should have made something like this here, too…
Thanks for sharing! :)
love it and sarah silverman just makes me laugh and laugh!
Oh, Tara, you are faboo!! I so needed to laugh this afternoon!!!
You know I love that :).
Tara,
What a great thing to share with us. I have taken the challenge and sent this to my friends and family.
Have a great day.

Ok, it’s on my blog now! Thanks for the nudge :) (both my voting age daughters are registered—my youngest just off to college made sure to update her address last week! yay)
I heart you even more now!!! And let me tell you on my PDA – the only thing I could see was rampant like herpes – needless to say – i was relieved when i saw the video :)
Rock on baby!! ;)
Wonderful! I’m registered. I’m ready. I’m ready!
That is a great, fantastic, awesome video… down here in Australia, voting is compulsory… do people really NOT want to vote up there? It boggles my mind that some people who HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE (as soooo many don’t) don’t want to… good job on spreading the word Tara!
Seriously – I love this! I think it’s such an important video. Thanks for sharing!!
Love Silverman and Ellen and the humor but I totally agree with Kelly – it’s a bit condescending in a way….
I agree with Kelly’s comment above, I shut if off halfway through because it was so condescending, its as if their target market is a complacent 18-25 frat house demographic….
oh leo leo leo…..!
That was awesome. Made me cry.
already registered.. have been for years.. but thanks for the reminder
who gives a *&#@ about any of those yahoos…..
wonderful!! i have blogged it!!!
Am I missing something?
Are they REALLY saying, “Vote for Obama?” ha.
Glad when November elections are OVER!!!
That was very cool; thanks for sharing – everyone I know is registered but i’m doing my part by sending it to 5 friends…..
I made it 29 seconds. The opinions of actors mean nothing to me. How they act on their TV show, or their movie is their job. They need to remember their place – living fake lives, pretending to be something they are not.
I emailed this video out because I thought it was good & hilarious. Now my family is sending me hate mail! Whatever! It’s not my fault they don’t have a sense of humor & can’t agree with my politics. They are the type to not vote and spend the next 4 years complaining about our country…
Well i was a bit confused at first, sad to say it. I did get the hint they were being sarcastic and then at the end i got it when they were saying of course vote, i wanted more. (blonde) Great, funny. Im going to admit that I dont like either of the candidates and didnt like hillary, brind back bill clinton….there you go i said it. Im from Australia so…yeah.
Still gotta vote. Or did I get it wrong. Um….
wishing i could vote from here (i live in Australia!)
sooo important!
