    funny….i was thinking while i was watching that photographers kids…have a natural (or rather very well rehearsed) comfort with the camera and being filmed. your kids are pro’s for sure.

  22. I have been a secret stalker for some time now, I don’t think I have ever commented. But I tell my husband at least every few weeks that I am saving my pennies for a “Tara shoot” because I so want you to capture my family on film. I think your photos are absolutely amazing!

    And then I am watching this and realize your family is amazing, too! They are all beautiful and happy and just so full of life. I gasped out loud at least five times just watching this video – it is an incredible glimpse into your world and such a treasure for always.

    I will be seeing you someday, I’m sure. I can’t wait to gasp at my own family photos that you capture!

  24. That was absolutely unreal. How many times have you watched that? A million? If it were me I’d just play it over and over again. This is going to be great to have 10, 20, 30 years down the road, you know? You’ll be able to show your grandchildren this and they will love it.

  28. Oh My GOSH!! I have tears streaming down my face right now!!! Happy tears! Where do I start? You all look so happy, so content and so in your element! I LOVED seeing the “behind the scenes” of the photo shoot. Your kids are such naturals in front of the camera. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they’ve had cameras in front of them their whole life :-). My favorites were of Anna and Nate spraying water out their mouths at the pool! And Mckenna sitting in the sand trying to wipe the sand off of her. And then the quick shots of Drew standing up on the surf board! You look absolutely GORGEOUS while you sat on the beach watching your family. The real moment was caught and the expression of love, admiration and pure joy were on you face! I LOVED it ALL!!! Amazing!

    We never met, we live in different countries, but I feel close to you and to your family.
    I saw this video on Jay’s blog and it almost got me into tears… It’s soooo beautiful! Your family is beautiful…
    And seeing your kids in action like this is a wonderful gift (I can only imagine how you felt when you saw it…!)
