i knew this little guy was around the age of one, and sometimes that age is really shy and not so into me. so my plan was to walk in, say hi, and then leave him alone for a bit. so i walked in the door, said hi buddy! and he smiled at me and laughed so big. instant friend. he was a super ham, loved the attention the whole time. so fun!
saw this striking wall when i walked in-i want to do this in my house now. adorable family.
the last two shots are awesome! love his little Rolling Stones tee. How cute :)
these are fabulous! that wall IS amazing!
Really GOOD STUFF….what sort of lighting do you use; all natural or fill flash? anything off camera?
you rule.

You are an amazing photographer and you inspire me daily as an aspiring photographer myself (im workng towards it) thank you for sharing and doing things with such excellence. You make us all want to get better at the whole picture taking thing. A tad of my work is here sonjachandler.typepad.com. I am also a big scrapbooker and love to see your work there as well. Keep workin it girl… you got us all wanting to see more.
Love the pic of the family and the wall, I like the turqoise ball, matches his cute little sweater. I wonder if they went out and bought the ball to go with his sweater for the shoot?! Anyways….great pics!
Beautiful as always Tara. Love the book shot!
Tara, beautiful shots. I wonder if the family had the same idea I did after looking at a Pottery Barn catalog. I had that wall constructed in my bedroom. Very reasonable..1×3 oak planks and painted the whole thing in gloss paint/ bright white

Love, love, love your photos! I have to admit I’m a daily visitor.
I was actually looking for your email address as I have a question regarding lens. I’m trying to capture a shot with a high wall background like in the third picture. What would you advise?
Thanks alot!
