but thats okay with me.
i had a bookshelf/cabinet that emily wanted to borrow for her new place so i drove it down there last week and we decided to hit up the beach while i was there.
that belly is no longer! go here for more details.
wish this was mine. had to snag this as we walked back to the car.
happy sunday to you guys! we have started a pretty huge home renovation project over here. we are adding a loft space and bedroom to our second floor. it will take 4-6 weeks and it will be giving me my own space for an office (the loft part) and mckenna her own bedroom. a lot of people in so-cal do this because we have second story ceilings in some rooms and its a great way to add square footage. im taking pictures of the progress. i cant wait until its over for several reasons.
1. so i have a real family room and not one cluttered with my office and scrapbook stuff.
2. so the girls can finally have their own rooms and anna can get off the floor of the boys room.
3. so that i no longer have a PORTA POTTY in my front yard.
4. so that i no longer have plastic sheeting all over the main part of our house.
5. so the banging, sawing, and hammering will be gone.
6. so i will have THREE NEW ROOMS TO DECORATE!
c’mon.
all the cool kids have porta-potties in their yards. sheesh!!
sounds like fun – once it’s all over. can’t wait to see the photos!
Super fun beach shots — love um!!!
Good luck with that remodel…I hope they finish on time. We had the same thing done a couple of years ago. What a pain in the butt! Totally worth it when it’s all done, though.
Tami
Good luck with that remodel. We are doing a kitchen and my new studio. Yes. Concurrently. Just like two prison sentences… :)
I think I’ll be mentally ill and broke by the time it’s all finished…
Can’t wait to see photos of your work-in-progress.
I just love the shots you share of your family. I am thinking about moving to an SLR but I am a beginner. Do you have any recommendations? I think you shoot with a Cannon. Do you have a brand preference?
Keep on Keeping it Real!
i am just super excited for you. can’t wait to see the pics. i think you should take a pic of the porta potty. perhaps someone will want to buy it and hang it in their home. lol
I loooove your wide angle pics! I have just taken my 50mm off to use my kit lens as I have missed my wide angle so much! It gives such a uniqueness to pictures.
I am dying laughing at the porta potty comment here. Thanks for starting my day off on a funny note Tara.
Corinna
Tara- What do you use to get your photos so crisp? Are you using a filter that i don’t know about? Or do you fiddle with photoshop? the colors are always so vibrant and sharp, please share this little secret. Oh please, please, please.
I adore your fotos! The colors are so greate. And here the angle of the first one is fantastic!
that’s cooL about the loft. my husband wants to make our loft bigger and get rid of our 2nd story family room, but i like it too much. and we dont’ need the space anyway! but i can see why with 4 kids you would want to do that! cant’ wait to see the finished project!
tara
Wow tara what a cool pictures!!! Love them :-D Good luck with your house, can imagine you want it to be over ;-D Have a great week!! XOX
i am sure you get this question all the time, but what lens are you using in these shots? i am coveting a wide angle lens!
ok, i am LOVING that vw bus. i have almost gotten my husband covinced that we neeeeeed one! ;)
good luck with your addition. that process is no fun – but you will love having that extra space. congrats!
Oh, Tara, you will love it! I know it doesn’t seem like it when there are strange men in your house making a total mess with 8,000 pounds of dust, but it is *so* worth it. Our loft is now our favorite room in the house.
And every time I see your photos of the beach and I want to pile us all in the car and head out there. I especially love how you capture all the things I love most about HB.
congrats, can’t wait to see the new room :)
I need to know what lens you are using, too.:)
