this weekend, we left the comforts of our orange county 85 degree temperature to brave the 100 degree temperature in riverside for a family get together.
trust me, it was worth it. (we even lucked out and didnt have any traffic)
the whole gaggle of grandkids…
so love this crazy shot of tarzan nate
someones getting a pie in the face at the next party…
kickin it old school as the heat faded away and a gorgeous breeze picked up. made us all want to be outside. brought back so many memories of watching jeff and his dad play ball out here in high school.
it really was the perfect bbq day. wet squealing fighting yelling giggling kids, rummy under a ceiling fan for the grown ups, bleu cheeseburgers, famous potato salad, and marie calendars peach pie.
Oh that looks like the way life should be lived! :)
how totally cool is this? the pictures look great and that inflatable water slide looks like a ton ‘o fun and PERFECT for that faboo Inland Empire weather!!
Lanne said it best!
My 11 year old daughter was just reading this over my shoulder and said “Where do they live?” I told her “Southern California.” She said “It’s nice there everyday.” :)
so wonderfuL~
you just made me
for sure want to go “home”this
summer!

funny – you came out to my neck of the woods for the weekend while i left for the OC.. great photos, it looks like everyone had a wonderful time. i especially love the one of grandpa (?) standing in the kiddie pool next to the slip and slide – puts a big smile on my face :D
Sun, water, and bleu cheeseburgers… sounds like my kind of weekend! the modern slip and slide looks like a blast… so much better than when we were kids… we got beat up by rocks and sticks as we slid across the grass… the blow up slide looks a lot more comfy :)
oh man- so much fun! that house looks like the same ones as are in my Irvine neighborhood. It’s a crack up- I have seen the same houses only one other time in Anaheim Hills – crazy southern CA builders making copycat stepford worlds! :)
mmm it all sound so good and so much fun!
OMG that slide looks soooo fun!
that looks like a total blast!
I might even venture to the top of that slide, it looks so fun.
I like, in the last picture, how none of your kids have shoes on…When I lived in So Cal I NEVER wore shoes either! (Now Im in Vegas and it’s too damn hot to not wear shoes!)
I really had a blast! I hope we can do this every summer! I love the first pic of all the kids in the waterslide, could you e-mail it to me? There was something magical about that day – seeing all the kids have fun together mixed with renewed memories of our childhood! I love you guys!
