more of that gorgeous couple from a few posts down.
they are helen and chris, they are from the UK, and they are on year two of an american/mexican/canadian road trip.
they are living my dream. in an RV.
i wanted to stowaway somewhere and stay with them.
helen made me proper english tea. (with milk and sugar)
the best.
we met up at doheney state beach where they were camped out for the night.
What a great memento from their travels, a photo session with Tara W!
Oh Tara! How great are these!!! So fun! I can’t pick a fav…
Seriously…such great pictures! I would love to do what they are doing…just drive across the country seeing everything and relaxing. So cool.
Fabulous, Tara!
They are living our retirement dream, too. Gee – only 20 more years to go!
Amazing, once again!
I have been checking out your site for a while now and have not commented. I absolutely love your work. You inspire me!
LOVE, love, love your photos! Great stuff!
Quick question… What is the music used on your blog? Would love to know.
Thanks for the inspiration!
WOW. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these. You continue to inspire me. What an amazing couple and how honored were you??? Those are the shoots you live for. I’m so jealous! How did they find you?
are they so dang cute, or what!?!? love the 2nd photo of him holding her in front of the rv. these shots make me want to hit the road with the hubby – what a great vacation!
I love that you live where you live… I am from there… born and raised… now living in Toledo, OH… a great place to raise kids… but I always get a little homesick when I read your posts… I love Doheny State Beach… spent many nights as a teenager having bonfires.
The woman in this picture is the epitome of “natural” beauty. A dream trip truly.
Love your work!
Man, what a cute couple!!
There is so much personality in these pictures. They look like fun happy people to be around. Beautiful job Tara:)
what lovely pictures, you’ve truly captured their spirit. and hurrah for english tea (says the slightly biased english girl :-)
Some people are just perfect together. These two are.
And you brought that out perfectly in your pictures.
I like your photography style – keep the creativity going. If you ever have a minute, drop me a line; I’d like to know what camera you’re using. I have been using the old CANNON AE1 and lenses since the seventies and I’m now ready to move into the the digital SLR world (I started with a PowerShot 540 two years ago, small portable but with very limited range)
Thanks, and warm wishes from a Florida gal,
V.
they are so adorable together!!!! i really love the RV one and the picnic bench one. i can’t wait to see more of your US adventures this year…
Wow, these are great, your crops are always so great.

What great pictures. I see their travel map in one of the pictures and noticed Oklahoma wasn’t colored in yet. They need to make it to Oklahoma. We’re celebrating our 100th birthday here in the state. Big celebrations going on…lots to do….especially in the summertime.

i love & admire your perspective on life. you are an inspiration!
wow!
It can be your dream too! Pack up your kiddos and husband and hit some states in a RV, take some pictures and right off the whole adventure. The best thing my family did was pop up camp for a month with no tv etc. we became one…real…a family. enjoy! Lisa
I can’t tell you how much I just love your site. It is so simple and bright and I can’t get enough of your photos. I am always amazed at the images you capture of your children, and of other couples and families. I am hoping to become a wedding/portrait photographer and you are definitely on the top of the list of people I get inspiration from. I just got done building my first site that is documenting my journey in becoming a professional photographer and starting my own business. I know nothing about the business side of things. But luckily there are so many helpful resources online to help me along the way. I would love it if you could stop by in your free time to say hello and just offer any advice you may have. Keep posting, cause I love this site! I mentioned you on my first post of sites and blogs I love to stalk!
Again – How do you do It? i am also trying to run my own studio/portrait photography business and have a shopfront.. How do book appointments around family Tara? How many shoots would you do a week? I think I am trying to take on too much as i seem to be chasing my tale trying to keep everyone happy? help Me???
hi tara. i had to de-lurk myself just to say how jealous i am of h&c. a multi-year road trip throughout north america. how sweet is that! what an adventure…AND, they look SO in love (and like) with each other. Wow. you rock, btw. ~mel
