taking pictures of the boys while sitting on the front porch, and this one here does a dive bomb onto the back of my neck.

once she knew it was making me react, she kept doing it over and over again.

i turned the camera around not guessing id get anything good with all the force that was hitting me everytime, but this i got. and they totally make me want to laugh. make me feel good remembering that moment.

  1. What you said: “makes me feel good remembering that moment” is totally what photography should be about. Yes, the perfect shots are great and can be breathtaking, but as long as I get the shot that makes me remember the moment and feel good about it, that’s what it’s all about.

  2. i had to comment because this exact thing happened to me about an hour ago. i was in my front yard taking pictures of my 8 month old playing (eatiing) with leaves and sticks when my 3 year old suddenly jumped onto my shoulder and we flew into the flower bed. I almost got mad because she has broken 2 of our expensive cameras in the past, but then I just started cracking up.
