Of course, crying big time now. Thanks for the link, definitely going to find out more. The one thing, I think all of us who are parents can relate to immediately is the fact that we would do ANYTHING for our children. That video represents parenthood more than anything I’ve ever seen, amazing.
Thanks for the link. What a cool father to share the world with his son.
That totally gave me the goosebumps. Wow. What an inspiration. Thanks, T.
I can’t watch YouTube at work but even their “About Us” story on their webpage had me near tears. Great inspiration.
oh man. talk about bawling like a baby. i could barely see to finish watching that. thanks for sharing. how inspiring. talk about faith!

I saw a video of this family a few years ago when I was at a work retreat. The love is simply amazing and pure. Thanks for the reminder today!
Thanks for sharing this link, Tara. One of my best friends is being buried today. It was like hearing him sing this song.
I live outside of Boston and the Hoyts run the Boston Marathon every year. I saw them once years ago, and it was amazing. When he ran by with his son in the wheel chair, the crowd went nuts. Everyone started clapping, cheering and screaming for them. It was unreal to see and be a part of.
Awesome, just Awesome! I am bawlin’ too, can’t stop, TFS!
woah.
pretty heavy for a thursday morning. hope you don’t mind i linked it to my blog as well.
thanks for the inspiration as always.
Their story is amazing isn’t it. I’m a runner & they definitely inspire me. Blow my mind actually. Thought you might also enjoy this link, which tells how Dick suffered a massive heart attack a couple years ago.

Oh my.
Thanks so much for this link. I’m sobbing. They are just incredible…
Thanks for the share, Tara. It was a good thing to watch this morning. :o)
Totally touching! Crying my eyes out, showed it to DH and he was tearing up too. Thanks for sharing.
Tara, they were on OPRAH recently and I bawled the entire time. They are so inspiring and the dad, oh my god, what an AMAZING father he is!!! Every word out of his mouth was such an inspiration.
I’m familiar with this family’s story but seeing it again it’s no less powerful than the first time. I watched it through my tears. Amazing how my heart can ache and soar at the same time. TFS, Tara.
Oh my!!!!!!!!! I am crying my eyes out. My boys actually came running to see what was wrong with me. I am trying to explain it to them, but I am getting those looks like they think I’m nuts. LOL Thank you for sharing that with us. There is something so cathartic about a good “happy cry”!!!!
Tara,
I totally used their story during my lesson on prayer in RS this past Sunday. There is a blog you should check out. http://mommywars.blogspot.com/ If you scroll down one of the mom’s was his PCA for awhile and it is her experiences with him. Added inspiration!
wow- crying here too…
Tara, thanks so much for sharing this. i am bawling as i type. i can’t even begin to explain how this has touched me.

Thank you for sharing. Not only your life, but this truly inspiring story. I can’t stop crying – it is so uplifting to think of what this father and son are doing!
yeah, typing with a big ole lump in my throat now and somehow the fact that i had to clean a whole bunch of puke out of my car this morning seems so NOT a big deal anymore….no words, just emotion, totally. Thank you…T
Tara – Thanks for posting that awesome link! The Hoyts are very well known around here (Cape Cod, MA) and I have had the privelege to watch them race (hubby is a runner)more times than I can remember – I sob everytime as I cheer them on out of sheer joy for them. It is absolutely awe inspiring to watch them. Their dedication is amazing! Take care! Tracy on Cape Cod
i totally, and utterly just did the ugly julia roberts cry.
it was BAD.
bad.
Crying over here too. Thanks for sharing the link.
whoa! puts it all in perspective doesn’t it?
thanks for sharing!
so beautiful. i hope i can be that awesome to my kids. thanks!
Thank you, Lord, for this young man and for those who love him.
Enough said.
Thank you for sharing Tara! It certainly touched me to the core as well, but I think it has to do with the love between parent & child. It is so strong, the father giving up so much of himself, of his life, for his son. It’s very moving. I know parents love their children, but the Hoyt’s exemplify this ultimate love. It seems some parents take their children for granted, putting them second or third in terms of importance. The Hoyt’s though, it’s just out there for the world to see. Wow.
I totally needed a good cry today. Thank you for sharing.
hi,well I’m not very emotional , but I shed a crazy amount of tears over that clip. That was probably one of the most profound and beautiful things I have ever seen. The world needs more people like that.
Wow. Thank you for that. That is something I probably never would have seen if it weren’t for you. I bawled my eyes out, but what a reality check. Seeing something like that reminds you that the little things that overwhelm our lives are so unimportant.
yes, this is an awesome story. when we heard about this, we immediately purchased the dvd to share with our family.
So touching. So inspirational. Thanks for sharing.
took my breath away…the very definition of what a father should be.
Tara – this is amazing.
T-
Love the Hoyt’s…total inspiration!
Floods of tears…thank you for sharing.
hugs~Peg
the Hoyts are local to me. I’ve been fortunate enough to cheer for them as they run the Boston Marathon and the Falmouth Road Race every year.
Just amazing and inspirational. To think the miles they’ve logged together on the road.
Hey Tara,
Just watched the video at work. Aren’t they just amazing? We either go to or watch the Boston Marathon each year and they are truly an inspiration to everyone. The love. The determination. Two people making the absolute most out of everything they have been given in life. There just aren’t any words.
Thanks for posting in your blog.
Jenn
Rocked me to the core…to the core.
