she picked out these sunglasses at old navy, ran up to me with them on
“mom, i want these.”
and i was like oh yeah baby-we are so getting those!!!
with her little shoulders thrown back and her serious gaze and her lips (oh those sweet lips) this picture freaks me out a little bit. i might have to lock her in the attic in about nine years.
Oh,my!
She’s gorgeous. I love Anna!!
I am right there with you. I have a 15 and 13 year old daughter and they would love those glasses. My 15 year old is at lunch with her new boyfriend and his MOm…OMG!!!!! When did she grow up!
peace
Kim
What a beauty!! She’s major rockin’ the shades. i love that pic, your so talented, would love to revamp my pics. doesn anyone else feel like tara leads such a fun, colorful life? would love to be a fly on the wall for just a day with all the kiddos around!
sorry babe, you don’t have a full 9 years!! Don’t you hate these scary little glimses into the future!!
oh. my. goodness.
that is CLASSIC! those shades and that little belly button…!!
…start building that attic Mamma.
…all your kiddos are real beauts..
…good genes…
ummm scary when she is what 3? and looks about 10 already soooo sad!! but man is she a beauty!
tara
you so will need to lock her up. oh, and either you or Jeff will possibly need to learn to shoot (if you don’t already)…that way when those varmit boys start showing up, one of you can be cleanin’ “Ol’ Bessie” and casually say “you WILL have her home early, wontcha?!”
she’s too stinking cute. may need to go to Old Navy & get some for my niece. (we’re gonna lock her up in about 10 years, too)
Those kind of pictures are a little disarming, aren’t they? I took one of my daughter (who will be 11 in October) the other day and I looked at it and thought “Oh gawd…I don’t have a baby anymore. I’ve got a beast on the brink of being a teenager and that is scary.”
My husband has picked out a plot of island back here on the East Coast that he plans on building a small fortress on to keep our daughter locked in and away from all males. :)
Holy! You are in some trouble! LOL She looks 15 not 3. She’s so freakin cute though!
wow! she does look so much older with those sunglasses! awesome picture!
Wow, she is gorgeous… Jeff needs to be ready with a gun to keep the boys away! :)
you are in so much trouble when she gets older. what a beauty!
Smokin’! How old is Anna again? If my memory serves me, she’s three or so? You’re in for big trouble, I’d say. ;)
OH MY GOSH is this photo to die for! I love it. Not only is this a great photo, she is beautiful and has “that’s right I am worth it” written all over.
Super Cute :)
Oh – ya! You do lead a fun, colorful life. Why don’t YOU offer a teaching class to people… say… like me??? We’d pay some serious cash for it!
I am a frequent reader of your blog and I must say, WOW! What an awesome picture. I know what you mean about locking her up, I have an eight year old that might have to be locked up too!! Love that she picked those out herself, what style :)
isn’t it amazing how much a photo can predict the future as well as capture a moment that quicky becomes a ‘moment’ of the past!
thank you for sharing!

Oh man…she’s got the stance down. Love the color.
She looks so pretty…and yea, you’re right to be a little scared. She’s gonna be a heartbreaker!
totally. I have an eight (going to 20) year old daughter that is so beautiful. We are planning our lock ups now!
You cant lock her in a cupboard… you will need this time to train her to fight off the boys.. besides.. wouldnt that just mean her release was at her peak? LOL She is gorgeous!
Beautiful – seriously, an attic would work well – you just need to add a small window.
Signed, mom of a 16 y/o daughter in la-la land.
She’s just beautiful!
And about the attic? Just add a small window – she’ll be fine and you’ll be even better!
Signed, mom of 16 y/o dd in la-la land
she looks like a 50’s sun beauty – just gorgeous :)
you are going to be so good for her self esteem when she begins the teenage years – great picture and beautiful child.
She is a hottie.
That is for sure.
Great shades, top photo.

Love this image and the glasses – she is super cute! I totally know what you’re thinking … I’d love to throw my 10 year old daughter in an attic now with my 7 year old following fast behind her. lol
How gorgeous!??!!
I really wanna pair of them shades for me!
WHat a HOOT she is! Yes, she had better be locked up! LOL!
so cute that she picked those out…and she wears them too! xoox
I have a picture like that of my dd. Sort of a flash forward. It scares the hell out of me.
