it wasnt possible to take a bad photo of these sweet girls. they were so excited to be having their picture taken. i had such a good time with all of them. the entire shoot went like this:
giggles and more giggles. so FUN. i laughed the whole time i was there.
Beautiful, as always! That is the cutest family! Ya know, all your families you photograph are just so stunning. And that has got to be the cutest doggy I have ever seen!!
How do you get such good lighting on your indoor shots?
I wish my kids still got excited to have their picture taken. :-) These are wonderful, you really know how to capture the light indoors, I continue to struggle with that.
awesome awesome awesome – and I’m with Heather on how you get such good color. I know one of my problems is that I don’t have the best lens with a wide enough aperture – but still – your photos are amazing!
Awesome photos Tara…does EVERYONE in southern cal have white rooms? . Around here I keep running into dark purple and black walled living rooms, deep pink bedrooms…makes using natural light so much harder…but then I don’t have your talent either! Thanks for sharing all you do!
lol about the white rooms. :) maybe I need to paint, no?
Love the pics T….great as always. Beautiful family.
Another fabulous shoot! You have such talent, Tara! I sure wish you lived closer!!!
Wonderful. I love your colors, too.
perfectly wonderful, as usual!
Beautiful! Just beautiful!
More and more great shots. You make me jealous of your photos!
Love the one of the dog. He looks like a cartoon character.
I read your blog each day so I was excited to see some familiar faces. I love the photos of the girls giggling and the one of Mary looking down at her daughter.
Tara…these are wonderful as always ! This family must be so proud of such awesome pictures…they too are beautiful, by the way! They all looked like they had a blast ! love your “picture of the day”…Anna definitely has some talent there ! I could only imagine learning from the best ! Sweet photo…
I agree with everyone on the use of light – Fantastic! I too run into lots of dark walls and even a few PINK. I am sure you would have made it work better! I would love to work with great rooms and light!
thanks!
as for the light-i make sure to talk to my clients about when their home is brightest. i think i also luck out being in CA-lots of sunny days.
its funny you mention white walls. i dont think any of the walls in this home were white! in fact, the girls room was like a pinky/orange salmon color! lol
these little girls make me wish i had brown eyes:)
just a totally stunning family
way to capture that, tara:)

These photos are amazing Tara!! Mary is one my dearest friends…I couldn’t wait to see the photos. She was so excited…they are just the cutest family. Emily and Sara are so sweet too!! I LOVE the way these turned out…absolutely gorgeous!! :)
Tara…..i have been such a fan of your work for so long….your so inspirational to me!! I just want to say thank you for sharing your talent with so many! : )
Wow, fantastic photos Tara as always. I was just wondering though when you use ittybitty actions to bump up the colours do you use these on the whole photo or just on sections – clothes, background etc. I live in Gladstone, Qld, Australia and we have plenty of lovely sunny days here too, you wouldn’t be planning a holiday to OZ in the near future would you lol? Plenty of white walls in our old Queenslander home!
What a beautiful family, the girls….. they are so cute. Way to go Tara, once again, way to go!
Wow! I love your family portraits.

Man are you good. These are fantastic. Is there anybody you can’t take a great photo of? Good stuff.
Dang it!!! How do you do it Ms. Tara? The shot of the girls in their room is worth a million bucks babe!!!! Can you give indoor shot pointers again oh pretty please!!!!!!! Saying this with my 4 yr. olds poutty lip that always works for me. :)
