  1. WOW WOW WOW! I love you Tara & I love your style it was really cool to hear your voice. I have been an admirer or yours for a really long time first as a scrapbooker & even more so as a photographer I can’t say enough about the candid & emotive nature of your work. Everyday I am more & more interested in photos & photography & how I can make mine look just a little like yours. So thank you for sharing this interview. I have not forgotten your post a while ago aobut a BPS class & I am still waiting & will be all over it if you do it.

  2. +BRAVO+ I am a good friend of Ibarionex’ and when he showed me your work– i was sucked in! Thanks for “breaking the rules” for portraits. I was tired of the cliches (@ weddings, etc). You have made your own path! Thanks.

  3. Wow Tara! That’s so cool! Loved hearing you on the podcast. Seeing all your work together in one place was inspiring! Can’t wait to see your website when you get it up.

  5. Ahhhhh, totally tearing up at some of the comments. The podcast was awesome, I am so glad he included you in such a talented group of photographers. This reminds me of the time we were talking about going into the distressed furniture business, and I am SO glad you went this route instead! LOL!

  6. Had to come back and comment after listening now to every episode of thecandidframe (yours first of course!). I’m so impressed and you should be so proud of yourself! Loved hearing your voice and personality and learning from your experiences.

  7. I’m so proud of you Tara. Since I first started looking at your blog, I thought that eventually you’d find some limelight for your photography, even more than your scrapbooking. You’ve got a style that’s so appealing to so many people, myself included. For years I worked as a journalist and had to take photographs with my work. The number one aspect of this was having to work with what you had and capturing a moment…a feeling. You’re work is very photojournalistic in it’s quality. I’ve always taken photos with the same “vision” you have…capturing the feeling, not worrying about the technical aspects of it. I hope people get that message the most from what you said in the interview…”just grab it”. That’s what it’s all about!

    Anyway, just wanted to tell you deserve as much recognition as possible and how much you influence me in my work…which is just with my family for now. And again, I wish, wish, wish we had photographers around here with your vision. I’m so tired of trying to take these kinds of photos of my family myself…hard to get yourself in the pics, as you know. Great job! I did a photocollage for my husband for Father’s Day. In no time I managed to get 50 photos of him and my daughters that I’d taken, all of them much like the images you capture…casual interaction, times of them alone or playing, things I value tremendously. Comparatively, since I’m behind the camera, there are just a handful of these types of photos of my with my children. I’ve tried to hire people outside of us to capture me with the girls and can never get an image out of them that makes me feel when I look at it how I FEEL when I’m with my daughters…ya know. What you possess is the ability to see a family as mom, which to me is the key to your success.

  8. Tara you are so good. In heart and in photography and that blend just ……squishes like grapes turning to fine wine.

    Your a love for mentioning me and what an inspiration you are to me.

    {heart}

    b
