just some shots to share from this weekend. i dragged my lazy grumpy butt out of the house to meet up with emily, mick, and her dad at the beach. i didnt want to go out. i was tired and grumpy and happily lounging in bed with my laptop. but she made me do it.
and once i was there i was happy to be.
I just love your beach shots. It always makes me want to be there. Is it true that you live in Lagoon? If so how lucky are you. Summer 24/7. Thanks for sharing your photography. Love it all.
your colors always stun me. and look at that little tush on the second! :)
These are great shots. I wish I lived near the ocean. I grew up, sort of, in California and that is the one thing I miss about it – the beach.
Ok so I commented allready, but these beach photos are really stunning to me. I wanted to know what lens you use on a family shoot? How do you achieve the focued foreground and fuzy background – do you know which subjects you want where and then go for it? I would so love to meet you and talk photography.
so so sweet. sometimes it’s good to get our grumpy butts out huh? Good for you (and Em). Love the photos!
your giant letters are way cool !!!
My father lives in Newport Beach, so I know that area very well. I miss living in California so much, so it is nice to come to your blog and see pictures of it. :)

Man, I need a beach near me. It looks so fun. Looks like the kiddos were glad you decided to go too!
Your photos inspire me to have the family i have always dreamed of having. Thank you for sharing other people’s families with me. It makes me dream bigger than i ever have before. Thank you.
Everytime I see a picture of Em’s daughter lately – I keep thinking she should be Nate’s sista :)
Love the beach! – don’t always love getting ready to go – but just the thing when your grumpy – bit o’sun, fun with friends – good for the soul.
