on this day (rhymes with sporty) years ago, my dear sweet friend cathy was born. over the next 30 ish years, she grew and changed and moved and got married and had jobs and babies and then she found me. and i found her. and i cant believe how two people who are ten years apart and really very different and who live so far away from each other are so very much the same at our core.
she is wise, (and insane), and funny and quick, and beautiful, and when she calls me she starts talking after i ask, "whats goin on?" and she doesnt stop talking until A) i interrupt her or B) she cant breathe anymore, and when we get off the phone she says, "call me everyday!", and she likes music and jokes and indian food, and she helped me realize that tom cruise really is just a big idiot. (before the couch, even!)

she is there when i need her. she lets me be exactly who i am, with no judgement.

What a touching thing to do……….. I liked Cathy Z before but now i know she has “feelings” about Tom Cruise, I feel we must be twins seperated at birth. Here i was thinking that I was the only female under 45 who thinks his credibility is comparable to a flat tyre!!!!
